The Ottawa Senators coach has been officially underway since the moment they announced Cory Clouston would not return behind the bench. With that said, things are really expected to ramp up beginning early next week.
According to a couple different sources, one name you can apparently cross off the list is that of Pete DeBoer.
Earlier this week I mentioned that the Ottawa Senators search for a new coach was expected to heat up this week. Apparently that is not the case.
A tip sent my way last night that we can expect the search to really intensify beginning early next week.
With his Spokane Chiefs eliminated from the WHL playoffs, one of the Sens top prospects is on his way to Binghamton to join the Senators on their Calder Cup run.
Jared Cowen will look to carry over a strong playoff run with the Chiefs when he joins the Sens AHL team later today. He is not expected to be in the line up for tonight's game.

While the end result may not have been what the fans were looking for, I think it's safe to say the first ever SensChirp road trip was a resounding success. The Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena was buzzing tonight and I think the Ottawa crew had a lot to do with that!
