Bingo Beat- BSens Streak Snapped

The Binghamton Senators impressive run came to an end on Saturday night in Binghamton. The Norfolk Admirals stopped the BSens franchise record winning streak at nine games with a 3-1 win at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Binghamton, New York.  Bingo's next game comes on Wednesday night against the Syracuse Crunch,

Bingo Beat- BSens Make it Nine

While there is nothing but bad news on the CBA front, the team in Binghamton continues to give fans something to cheer about. The Binghamton Senator scored another easy win, this time over the Portland Pirates.  The win was the 9th straight for a Binghamton Senators team that suddenly finds itself as the hottest team in the American Hockey League.

NHLPA Tables Latest Proposal (League Responds)

(UPDATE 7:55 PM)- Bettman addressed the media tonight as well and certainly did not paint as positive a picture as Fehr attempted to. He spoke about how upset the owners were with the players reaction to the latest league proposal. General sense from the Commissioner is that the Union has been constantly changing the "key" issues.  Bettman says elements that were added by the league, are now off the table. Rock. Bottom.

Finally Progress Towards New CBA

For the first time since this excruciating process began, there seems to be unanimous optimism on the NHL’s labour front. The much talked about Players and Owners session went extremely well last night, with Penguins owner Ron Burkle and Captain Sidney Crosby apparently bridging what at times seemed like an insurmountable gap between the two sides.  The same group is expected to continue discussions today.

Burton Story Denied on All Fronts

Last night a news report from a somewhat obscure source, allowed fans of the NHL a moment of hope and optimism. The hope that lingered in the air last night has been quickly extinguished this morning with a who’s who of the hockey world stepping forward to deny the reports that originated out of Boston on Monday evening.  At this point, fans of the NHL are used to that kind of disappointment.
