Robin Lehner was one of the best players on the ice through Bingo's first two games but struggled a bit last night as the Bears beat him three times on 21 shots.
All the offence came from the back end as Captain Andre Benoit scored the first goal for the home side while Tyler Eckford's shorthanded goal closed the gap to one.
Mika Zibanejad set up the Eckford goal and was possibly the best player on the ice in the third period. This lockout is obviously rough on hockey fans but there are some definite positives for the development of Sens prospects. Both Zibanejad and Silfverberg are getting a great opportunity to adjust to the North American game at the AHL level and that should be a huge benefit for the big club when the season starts.
The BSens have a chance for a quick rebound tonight againt the Crunch. No official line up changes announced by Luke Richardson yet but there was some talk about resting Jared Cowen in favour of Swedish defenceman Fredrik Claesson. Should have full line up details a little closer to game time.

- Interesting piece here from Bruce Garrioch and the Ottawa Sun. An exclusive interview with Donald Fehr in which he discusses the current stance of the players and where he sees the negotiations going from here. There are currently no talks scheduled between the NHL and NHLPA with the window to play a full 82 game season closing quickly.
- Quick update on the Sens prospects currently playing in the CHL. Matt Puempel scored last night and now has seven goals through 9 games. Stefan Noesen scored his 7th of the season in just 10 games while Cody Ceci has 11 points in as many games with a struggling Ottawa 67's team. Goaltender Francois Brassard has an 8-2 record with a .919 save percentage and last week was named to the QMJHL team for the Subway Super Series to take place next month.
Good to see Puempel, Noesen, Ceci, Brassard, and Driedger doing great.
I assume that Bishop should get in a game soon & why haven't they not sent Prince back to junior yet?
Also seen that lawson got recalled to bingo from elmira, did someone get hurt? or is bishop just not in gameday shape yet?
if the players are adamant about moving to 50/50 gradually.
Why don't they make a six year contract that sees the players get
52
51
50
49
48
47
Players get what they want now which is basically to look after themselves and the owners get what they want which is better long term profitability.
Streams are up, and jessiman wins a fight
Do you mind posting a link to the stream?
Stone assists on Grant's goal making it 4-0 then Dziu beats the crap out of a Crunch player post-goal. SUCH A FUN GAME!

Freebird!
I think he's scratched.
Only he can give up a 5-0 lead by letting in 5 goals in pretty much 1 period.
All on Lawson, no matter what anyone says. Giving up soft goals like he did absolutely deflates a team. WHY wasn't Bishop the backup ARGH!
He lost his temper, or thought it would be fun to fight...got kicked out and they lose big time. For all the "maturity" talk about him...this was definatively bad judgement on his part. He needs to be smarter than this. If you want to be a starter, you have to be responsible and not just do stupid things like this for self-gratificat ion.
Lawson can't entirely be blamed but that game was sadly reminescent of that 6-5 loss to Buffalo 4 or 5 years ago in the playoffs...

I hate haters.
Wow, tough to hear.
A melt down by a young team after a big lead, nothing new. Not fun to watch but hopefully this will become a lesson learned. WHat did you mean about poor coaching? What do you think Richardson didn't do or could have done differently? Really appreciate the insight timwrx.
Well Stated , Young Skywalker !
Things like failing to put a replacement in the box during Boros 5 minute major. They did the greatest job killing the penalty but when it was up they continued to skate down 5 on 4 because no one was there to come out of the box. All coaches usually do and have a designated guy to sit those penalties. Ex: last year it was always Hamilton. And the fighting getting out of control allowing the momentum to swing. Watching the lead evaporate and not taking a timeout to focus the guys. And as far as goaltending, after Lehner was tossed Bishop dressed and sat. Not sure if he couldn't play do to injury or rules or what.
All fair examples, thanks for the insight. Here's hoping ol' Luke will learn something from this embarrassing loss as well.
