I expect this trip will fill up fast so if you’re interested, be sure to get in touch with the organizers as soon as possible. Here are the details…
Bingo Beware!
Like so many hockey starved fans, my colleague and I are missing the NHL already and have come up with a solution. We’ll be running a bus to Binghamton for the November 10th game against Norfolk.
We are looking for a few more to join us as we cheer on our stars and support the AHL. We will leave Ottawa on Saturday morning (around 9:00 AM) and leave Bingo the same time Sunday morning.
Our 56 seats for the game are down low where the B-Sens shoot twice. Hotel is walking distance, and provides breakfast on the Sunday morning. Each room has two queen beds so there will be four people per room.
Cost is $125 per person, and includes all of the above, plus PLENTY of prizes on the bus ride, and guaranteed FUN.

Had a great time at Dillingers when I was there.
Binghamton Game Day today! :)
Dunno if this belongs here, or you were going to make a seperate thread later.
Was going to post a game day thread in a little bit but feel free to start the discussion in here!
Just a thought,
The NHL and NHLPA all want relatively short term deals, for us to go through this then this happen all over again in 5-7 years then I'll truly have enough of the NHL.
Hopefully they introduce a no lock out-no strike clause in this CBA so we get hockey no matter the politics.
Nope.. Not yet anyway.. I know Sportsnet said they were going to show some AHL games but we don't know which teams...
Only way to watch is by streaming for now...
Can hardly wait... Hockey & shopping.. can't get any better than that..
I'm presently listening to Hockey Central at Noon... and McLean mentioned that one Owner thinks we could see hockey start the 1st of November... I sure hope he is right.. but it would have to be settled this week. Are they even nearing that when they can't settle on any of the economic issues?
Just heard that the NHL has offered the PA a 50-50 split.. NO rollback.. Now the last offer from the NHLPA was 54% going to 52%. So are they that far apart?
Apparently the league (if accepted) looking at a Nov 2nd start and are asking teams about their available dates after that...
Now -- it remains if the players accept that. But 50-50 is where everyone thought it would end up.
Would it look bad for the players PR -- if they refuse this?
Now we don't know all the ins and outs.. but the players did say they would not accept any rollback of salaries...
So it was reported that the NHLPA said it's a good start. The way I look at it, Fehr no doubt knows he has the NHL where he wants them and they will counter, probably closer to 52%, to end at 50%, just for the sake of it. Also, that offer is contingent on an 82-game season beginning Nov. 2. So that means they would need to make up games already lost somehow. This to me shows that the NHL realizes it NEEDS to make up that lost revenue.
