The team provided an update on Peter Regin this morning and it sounds a little more positive than originally thought. Rather than opt for surgery. Regin will go the rehab route instead and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. I get the sense it could be longer than that depending on how the rehab goes.
With Regin on the shelf and Zibanejad headed back to the SEL, Paul MacLean will be looking for someone to step up and assume the second line centre position.
First crack at that position will go to Stephane Da Costa as he will line up with Foligno and Alfredsson tonight. Da Costa found his way on to the fourth line after some questionable defensive play but he gets another shot starting tonight.
Here is how the lines are expected to look.
Greening-Spezza-Michalek
Foligno-Da Costa-Alfredsson
Daugavins-Smith-Neil
Winchester-Konopka-Condra
Cowen-Gonchar
Kuba-Karlsson
Phillips-Rundblad
Bobby Butler is ready to return from his groin injury but is a healthy scratch tonight. On the back end, Brian Lee will once again look on from the press box. With the club winning and looking much better defensively, this is a tough time for MacLean to make a switch.
Craig Anderson will make the start in the Ottawa goal.
Still plenty of tickets left for this one so if you're looking to catch the game tonight, get in touch with Mike McCarthy at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The game is available on SportsnetSens or on the radio on Team1200
Hope to see Da Costa and 'The Dog' get some goals in tonight's 5-0 win!!
Also, hope the Zebras had their latest eye exam!
Shitty part is with the play of our 'D' lately, not sure how Lee is going to get back in...
Whatever it takes to make sure Lee A) doesn't get rusty and B) knows that he's part of our plans for the future.
Daugavins played well enough on Tuesday to deserve another game rather than rushing Butler back as well. I expect they'll send him back down after tonight's game unless he scores 2 or something crazy with the message "thanks for the great work on your call up".
refs need more than an eye exam lol
Would you not have Winchester on LW and Condra on RW ?
Condra is a RW .
Rockin Robert
I have to bring this up, because the focus of last years deal moving Elliot out of Ottawa was considered a MASSIVE win for Ottawa. But damn, who would have thought Elliot would steal the show from Halak this year registering 4 of the 5 wins they have this season with a staggering .950 save % and 1.59 GAA, including that shutout over Vancouver last night. Don't get me wrong, we all know he's had some shining moments in Ottawa, but this was a big surprise. I'm happy he's found himself again.
Crap, forgot to mention that Elliots wins aren't against your average teams, Canucks, Philly, Cans, LA and SJ.
@Tookie,
sigh...fart :)
again with the kick Regin when he is down comments.
so based on your reasoning, you must have been part of the
"what a bad trade for Michalek" after he had knee surgery
"lets ged rid of him" clan,
and no I am not saying you said this, but many were in the camp, that he was not that good and injury prone
well I for one am very glad we kept Michalek,
and is proving to be a top line NHLer,
just like I hope Regin can come back to when healthy.
Get back soon Regin and prove Tookie wrong...again :)
The Sens usually had a much better PK than PP.
Should be noted... Dave Cameron runs the PP...
Let's hope the Daug runs wild. Would love to see him pot a goal tonight.
while i dont see lee having the upside of our other d, he's certainly proven to be capable of taking a regular shift at this level. if he isnt in our lineup fulltime by december I think he'll be in someone elses. gotta think the oilers would have an interest in Lee as well as a few other young teams...
I hope we keep him since he isn't a UFA for two more years and we know Kuba, and most likely Carkner are gone next year. He has value as a #5,6 Dman.
Also if I was another team looking for a dman and I came to Ottawa, Lee is the one that has the best chance of being moved right now.
Karlsson, Cowen and Rundblad are assets we don't want to part with. Phillips has a NMC and won't waive, Gonchar has a NMC and probably won't waive. Carkner has very limited value as does Kuba t this point. The moveable asset with the most upside is Lee.
There will be a dspot for him to take next season, but will he want to wait that long?
Pot a goal and then punt his stick into the crowd.
Something has to give. Kuba & Gonchar have been playing much better over the last several games...that may up their value... especially Gonchar's play on the PP. BUT Gonchar has a NTC.. so he would probably only go to a contender.. then which one of those have the cap room. Kuba can go anywhere they want to send him.
Too many D... Lee is being unfairly sat out...
That would be a beauty!
I wonder....
GM has been pretty strong on his stance of not trading him. Would have to be a hell of a deal.
The problem is Phoenix is desperate for center's, not that they couldn't use someone like Brian Lee but they are thin down the middle even with Turris.
As for the D-men value - Carkner has good value, toughness, cheap, and 5-6 d man (hes slow though and UFA), Lee is young and has good value, Kuba is creating good value but is playing well.
I am all in for trading Carkner. What we get may not be a big return but I would consider tossing in a winger (Foligno) for a better winger in return from NYR or Tampa!
You brought up an interesting point about Elliott. I've always thought he wasn't a really bad goalie but a solid goalie. The problem was that Elliott may have been thrown to the wolves due the injury issues with LeClaire. Also the media didn't help out buy throwing him under the bus quite a few times.
Another reason could've been that he may not have the ablity to handle the pressure of playing in such a hockey-crazed market like Ottawa. The fact that the downward spiral from last December on could've sap whatever mojo he had and a fresh start was needed. Add to the fact that the team and defense in Coloardo was down right garbage.
I'm happy that Elliott is off to good start in Saint Louis and hopefully he can keep it going. Also when the Blues play Ottawa this season, he starts the game and plays with a massive hip on his shoulder.
agreed!
I would love to pry Ted Purcell out of Tampa, but I don't think they would move him. Tampa doesn't have many assets I think we could trade for. We definitely don't want Ryan Malone's contract coming our way.
I live in Gatineau and for some reason, Vidéotron just doesn't want to add Sportsnet ONE to their package, thus we don't have access to Sportsnet SENS (I know it's Rogers, but come on)!
I encourage clients from Vidéotron to complain to the customer service about this. They won't just add it if nobody asks for it!
Montreal sucks, their fans are dirtbags, and anyone who thinks they should be allowed to cheer in our building should just go and become a dirty Hab-not fan as well.
Gonchar's been playing well. Rundblad playing well. Neil is a dynamo. Anderson will start to get into a groove.
This 'Fail for Nail' bullshit has gotta end. we're making it to the playoffs, and when we do, watch out.
Never EVER cheer against your team. never. WIN at ALL COSTS.
Go Sens. Watch out for the Swedish 2nd rounder in nets (sound familiar?) for FLA tonight.
Peluso
Lots of homers here...Its 9 GAMES into the season, lol, lets see if you hum the same tune 25 games in the season, Colorado will be bottom feeders, along with Pheonix, CBJ, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Florida, Montreal...
Well once again, lets see some predictions, I say 3-2 Sens in regulation...Bo th teams are hot but Florida just traded Booth, thats gotta hurt and we have Spezza!
due to negative comment !!
Hehe and I actually re-worded before hitting send to be much nicer :)
Good on him for his positive views on the Sens!
Cant say I agree, nor does the rest of the hockey world...
talk about a breath of fresh air... he follows a long line of guys desperate to leave that graveyard.
wish I had Booth in the Senschirp pool, I'd be willing to bet he starts playing with alot more intesity and drive.
Good on who? What did I miss?
@ Boom
You missed the Sens are gonna win the CUP! WATCH OUT!
i hope they trade kuba ASAP and get lee in! but my question is this: alot of people want to trade gonchar, kuba, alfredsson and a couple others. from the looks of it every one wants a young RFA or draft picks. but RFA's are cheap and have little cap hit and picks obviously have none. so how can we move out such a huge chunk of our salary without taking some back?? how much room do we have? i never understand cap/contract stuff...
Tookie's comment in response to Peluso was
UNPRINTABLE
It disappeared or was deleted real quick ???
Turries for 4 1st round picks of the Leafs is better !
Nah, Murray will just trade two first round picks for him. That's always a great idea isn't it?
Actually two firsts and a second.
your illogical obsession with tookie is BY FAR the most boring, asinine, annoying aspect of the site...followed closely by double signing your posts
There are many posters on this site, including you, who are
always critical of Tookie, or anyone that posts derogatory comments.
Most times I enjoy bantering with Tookie.
You do not know what he posted, but I saw it, and it attacks all the non Fail for Nail posters, and I feel he went too far.
I respect all the posters on this SensChirp Website, and refute your blatant accusations, which you simply spewed
out of a foul mouth, that went out of your control.
Thought you were a mature poster until this condescending dissertation !
Oh and if you check my last few posts, save for 1 , I do not double post anymore.
Pot-Kettle-Blac k. "The stupidest," huh? Surely a smart guy like you is playing around as THE MOST STUPID, knowing 'stupidest' ain't a word.
As for tonight, I say 3-2 Sens. Markstrom's a beast but our boys have momentum.
And you sir are the dumbassest for not understanding that we are joking around with the troll by referencing the Kessel trade.
if so I take back the double signing lol
Of all the posters on the site tookie and I are almost always in agreement...so not sure when(if ever I have been critical of what he has said)
I imagine his post was similar to the rest is the arguing on the subject....and frankly as usual the "fail for nail" crowd makes a lot more sense. We are in a rebuild, the first year of one at that..anyone who thinks making the playoffs is in the beat interest of the team, unfortunately is wrong...if that happens we will have essentially become the leafs.
http://chilisports.strikehost.info
as usual
Do you see how stupid you are? When was the last time the leafs made the playoffs?
@ Tcharger,
Thanks for being more polite and respectful, and I give the
draft a top 5 pick crowd their due, but I am realistic and doubt we will qualify for a playoff spot next Spring .
Still, every player wants to win, and so do the fans .
All we ask is that every single player should give his utmost and want to win.
GO SENS GO !!!!!!!!!
Going to see the Leafs on Sunday afternoon, and hope we
finally defeat these long time rebuilders !!
hey junior....mommy giving you computer time??? how nice of her.
Now go to a learn to read site and then come back here and show me where I said the leafs made the playoffs.
idiot
Sorry snoopy, I lied this new guy takes the cake.
.
Well Condra can and has played both.
Agree completely that Condra has been on RW a few times.
Winchester is clssified as a Centre, but shoots from the Right, therefore he is better suited to play RW.
Thanks for bring up Kessel guys. Like I didn't have enough to be embarrassed enough with my 44 year cup drought..
"By the way...anyone who thinks making the playoffs is in the beat interest of the team, unfortunately is wrong...if that happens we will have essentially become the leafs. That implies the Leafs have made the playoffs".
I know it seems like a team with Phil "Don't call me Brett Hull" Kessel HAS to make the playoffs, but alas, they find a way to fail year after year. Still though, saying making the playoffs makes them the Leafs implies the Leafs made it..
your streams suk!
oh and hope its not french AGAIN...
Are you high? This is one of the better stream feeds we ever get. If you don't like it, go watch the Leafs game.
Hopefully the sens come out moving their legs more in the second!
I just got a Mac computer and this is the first time I have streamed with it, friggin phenomenal.
Almost as good as TV less the screen size.
chill sports stream is perfect.
the guy complaining about the feed, its your computer bud.
PCs suck
ya ok... thta why it says the broadcast is offline in the third period.
i think your the one thats high!
greening !!
3-2 sens
3-2, called it, probably gonna be 4-2 empty net!
Hehe well done!
e.g: why are Volchenkov and Mezaros attacking the net in offensive roles? what's Kelly doing on the ice?
(P.S. Attaboy Nicky!)
Nooo my prediction!!
HOLY SHIT.
I stated fact, thanks for coming out thoguh
greening, spezza, gonchar, runblad all played well and stood out to me. Alfie is obvious too.
I was just about to roast Foligno for not being a 2nd line player (which I still don't think he is, he's a solid third liner), but he came through tonight. I would like to see Filatov back up though to get a crack at the top 6 again...Daugavi ns to me isn't really needed right now. If a bottom 6 guy goes out, then yeah, get him up here, but Filatov should be here too.
Great game and hopefully they can keep the ball rolling.
I still suspect we will be bottom five, but the fight the young guys are showing is a definite good sign
Dont get your hopes up, good teams usually dont breakdown late in games.
Let's go for five straight on Saturday!
Clearly interference.
Yeeee HAW, what a win
Well to be realistic, our 5 wins have come vs bottom feeders. You would be hard pressed to argue with our soft schedule so far. Just wait till the hard part arrives...
as much as all this winning is real fun, i gotta agree with tookie.. thats a first. november will be a true test facing some good teams with a 6 game road trip
If the playoffs started today we are in LOL
Being an eternal optimist, I must say that when you have a team with this much fight in them and a good coaching system in place that the players buy into, anything can happen. They certainly don't look like a bottom 5 team right now.
Six straight lol lets not forget the Laughs, I know one game at a time:)
That was a fantastic win. Someone above said it and I'll say it again, it's all the stache!!! He's got this team playing great hockey after those two 7-1 shallackings.
By the way, Rundblad's game has improved DRAMATICALLY. He's really learned the North American game quickly. Didn't cough up pucks, his decision making was crisp and clean, defensively responsible, played the body a couple of times... wow. Real impressed with DR7.
The offense will come over time. We all know he has that.
I did not thumbs down you but that is a no
After 10 games the record is now 5-5 and we are mid-pack.
After 20 games what will be our record ??
I predict it will be 12-8, near top of our Division
GO SENS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell of a play by Rundblad on the winner. His hands and vision are unreal.
Wish Karlsson would have scored that one that Spezza set him up for. His shots are too wild at times. Needs a little more composure in situations like that
When we scored 2 goals in the last 30 seconds of the Columbus game, MacLean's excitement on the bench was incredible to watch. I thought to my self, he looks like am extremely proud father encouraging his kids! We haven't looked back ever since!
EEEEEEEYYYYYYYO OOOORRRREEEEE !
Sad.
i think he is just a selfish fan. he just likes them when they win. when they appear to be bound for failure he throws out all his hopes so that HE doesn't get hurt. sets his sights on something that is painless(gettin g a 1st overall)
Sad? you mean entertaining! Everyone wants a piece of me cuz I want a better future for this team, lol, hilarious.
Its nice to get wins, no doubt, even if it is vs the weaker teams, we have 5 wins...get real...
We wont win vs the good teams, wanna know why? Cuz they dont make errors late in games, thats why they are good teams...
Im not worried one bit, this team is still a bottom 5 team, 25 games into the season, when Im right, you can all say "sorry Tookie, you were right, we're not that good."
You'll see...
Number 1 PP in league
Anderson 5-2 ...getting his GAA down playing like number 1
Spezza -Top 5 scoring in League
MM9-Top 5 scoring in the League
Karlsson - 2nd place in League Scoring for Defencemen
Gonchar -7th in Scoring for dmen and Upgrade in play 100 percent
And almost 13 million in cap space
Teams like Boston NYR Van are looking too make moves do we offer are services?? And see if we can out something together ..
Its all about Confidence
Ugh. Please don't tell me this is starting.
You build for the future. Enjoy the games, cheer the goals, celebrate the wins but DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES make ANY moves that make us 1% weaker in the long run.
If Murray trades away a young player, prospect or pick for someone that is not going to be EVEN BETTER in 3 years from now, I will find him and tell him he's an idiot.
Heck, even if we somehow finish first in the conference (which by the way will not happen) we should still be "sellers" at the deadline and just be overjoyed that our young team is that good already - since it WILL get better.
You know like last pick...
Forget that goal by Foligno...wait. ..what am I talking about (spits out last peice of negativity). SICK goal!! Great for Foligno....and not to mention that wicked backhand pass by Rundblad to Alfie to set up the play! I for one as a SEns fan will enjoy these moments and cheer this team on after their 4th win in a row! And also go into work tomorrow with a smile.
I'll deal with our fate after 82 games....but I will (as a REAL fan) enjoy these moments where my team shows promising signs for the future.
GSG!
P.S. No goggles here...Im just enjoying my team and this sport. What a crazy idea for a hockey fan....eh!
Tonight's attendance was 18,600. Didn't see very many empty seats. Loved the ending!
Hes still an unsigned RFA. I dont see a scenario where the Sens perhaps would pitch a deal....but none the less, for PHX sake of keeping this kid...whats the hold up
Tookie, I'm normally one of your fans - I swear it. You're the Yin, to most people's YANG. And hey, I'm Peluso, I like a good fight...
But there were 18,500+ PEOPLE IN THAT ARENA TONIGHT YOU HACK TWAT.
You're gonna have to walk the plank soon if you keep spewing bullshit. Stick to your opinions, which are usually clever and if nothing else, entertaining. When you falsify facts, in particular falsifying facts that degrade OUR TEAM, it belittles the entire joy of being a fan
one more thing - those 18,500+ people saw yet another ultra-exciting, last-minute winning NHL hockey game.
You evil little wank-stain.
Peluso
"I meant it felt empty in the arena.. you read wrong again because I'm always right even though I'm a bandwagoner fan / troll"
Mike...you should Chirp in more often. I like your swagger bud! Cheers!
GSG!
Butler and Lee for Turris
Wow...its too late (at night) for such pipe dreams. Ill catch up with you all in the morn.
Nite all!
I think you weren't even there. I think you are full of shit about being a season ticket holder. Why don't you tell us what seats you own, so all of your fellow Chirper's can come and introduce ourselves. I thought you were funny before, after a statement like that, I think your just a troll looking for a laugh by firing up serious fans with your bullshit.
I suspect Sens' youth movement will run out of steam around Feb-March but I'll appreciate & enjoy the playoff-bound standing while it lasts...
It's quite comical how 75% of the posters here are so infatuated with the guy.
You just don't get it do you???? It's not that we want the Sens to get Yakupov...its that we are realistic and know that we aren't the worse team in the league. We all know we're not great (and probably aren't going to make the playoffs)...BUT WE ARE NOT THE WORST TEAM AND WILL NOT GET #1 PICK!!!! Just accept it.
You call us homers for not wanting Yakupov, we want him, we just aren't going to get him...we will draft 5-10. Are you implying we trade Spezza, Alfie, Michalek, so that we become the worst team in the league in order to get Yakupov? We will need Spezza and maybe Michalek in 4 years from now. And Alphie deserves the respect of having whatever he wants.
I just don't get what you don't understand...Ac cording to your logic, the Sens are winning game because we are cheering for them. Even if we were all eyores like yourself...they 'd still be winning. Might as well be happy for them.
Quote from Greenign (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=379071)
"It was a bit of a whirlwind there," said Greening, who admitted he thought his goal would stand as the game winner. "It goes to show you have to play a full 60 minutes. I was just happy that (Foligno) pulled us out of here. I think it's really fun for the fans and a lot of people will stay to the end now."
It's great that we have guys like Lee, Filatov, Parrish, Butler, O'Brien and Carkner in the minors or on the sidelines and still win games.
Make no mistake the injuries will eventually come.
Personally, I would love to see Lehner play in Bingo Friday night and get called up to Ottawa for Sundays game against Toronto at home and start the game with Anderson backing him up.
What does Ottawa have to lose in seeing how he is coming along?
It also shows Auld that he has to start winning some games and that he's not here for a free ride as backup.
Spezza stays healthy and get at least 1 ppg
Michalek actually puts 30 goals this year,
Alfie staying healty , so he can return for his final year
Runblad/Cowen continue improving
Karlsson continues to improve
Gonchar keeps it up and we trade him at the deadline.
as tong as we can get a top 3-8 pick it would be key.
On a side note who do you guys think are the 3 worst teams in the league as per their roster.
If you think about it Sens only have 2 Proven 70 point guys on their team and one of them is getting up there in age... in all honesty the roster isnt as strong as what ppl think...
Are you implying we trade Spezza, Alfie, Michalek. We will need Spezza and maybe Michalek in 4 years from now..
@Patrick...
ummm, werent you the guy professing all summer how crappy spezza was and that he could never possibly be a franchise player, you'd essentially take any trade for him?
as mentioned above, we haven't run into injuries yet, while I'm ecstatic about the wins, what 5 teams do you think have worse rosters?
Rundblad Cowan Filatov Greening DaCost and others get confidence and play lights out and our vets Spezza Michalek Alfie Karlsson Gonchar Phillips Neil continue our present play, playoffs are a certainty.
Things have to go wrong for us to not make playoffs, plain and simple.
They have to go super wrong for us to finish in the bottom.
If you base our team on past proven we don't have much proven but every win we are proving and thats all that counts.
Past is irrelevant, the slate of the future is clean.
We are making our proven superstars now.
All the players on the Blackhawks were unproven young guys at one time and we know how that worked out.
If that did happen, we would probably destroy them,
simply because, they would not have Gary Roberts to
knock us out in Round One !!
I dont think people here think the roster is overly strong but damn is it effective right now.
My GOD Spezza has been impressive in the early going. When he missed that bouncing puck in the third, he was noticeably furious (head shot forward, looked like he yelled F*CK).
The drive he's been showing is phenomenal. Leading by example.
Attendance was 18,668 or whatever it was announced at. That's hardly empty. I can't remember whether they announce tickets sold or actual attendance but that number is actually pretty damn good considering it's Florida.
Things have to go wrong for us to not make playoffs, plain and simple.
They have to go super wrong for us to finish in the bottom.
quote]
REALLY? I think it's more accurate to say everything has to go right for the Sens to make the playoffs...
Stranger things have happened without question but you are essentially saying the team is a failure if they don't make the playoffs. this isnt' the case and shouldn't be the expectation.
Realistically the Sens have been very lucky of late. We should probably be 3-2 in those five victories. We could easily have been 1-4 if the bounces didn't go our way in overtime and the shootout aka crap-shoot. Yeah the team is winning some games against weaker opponents, but we're not exactly doing it in an impressive way.
I'm glad they are on a streak, and I don't believe they are the worst team in the league, cause Columbus is looking like they will be the worst, but playoffs are a pipe dream. As many mentioned before, we have yet to play the leagues best so let's keep the "P" word on the shelf for awhile longer....A lot longer...
The reality is, we are in the top eight right now when everyone said we'd be 15th all year and I love it.
Make playoffs...dont make playoffs... finish bottom five... make playoffs as underdog, and challenge... this is what being a fan of a team is all about.
How in the hell can any fan of the Sens, take what they have done lately and turn it into a negative is really hard to understand.
Greening, like it or not is the perfect Soda, to the Vodka (Spezza) and Gin (Michalek)
he is fast, big, and most of all keeps it simple with those two offensive talents
Bottom line...new inspiring coach...young energetic determined youth up front, combined with solid veterens...tale nted young d-men... and most of all a goalie that shuts the door when he has to.
This my friends is the recipe of an extremely exciting team.
No one can predict what is in store, especially not Tookie's distorted views!
Hang on boys we are in for a wonderful ride, enjoy the ups and downs, regardless of where we land!
When god opens a window, do you complain about the draft?
Every team has a stretch where they play against weaker teams. Good teams take advantage of those stretches and get points. That's what Ottawa has done.
It shouldn't matter if they were close games, or if they were won in the shootout. They won those games, and that's positive.
Did you forget that we opened in Detroit, made a comeback and scared them !
We then played Washington, and lost in a close 2-1 loss
We got destroyed by Flyers 7-2, but that was when MacLean shook this team up !
How do you explain the losses of Flyers, especially to Jets by 9-8 ?
Errr...Nope. I've always been a MAJOR Spezza supporter. #1 centers are extremely hard to get, and Spezza is ours.
In your defense, there are 2 or 3 Patricks on here, you just have the wrong one.
Some teams I think we'll be better than:
1) Columbus
2) Winnipeg
3) Islanders
Teams that I think we are about even with (In other words, I'm not sure if we'll be ahead or behind in the draft):
1) Calgary
2) Minnesota
3) Phoenix
4) Florida
Personally I think we'll draft around 6th, hopefully get into the lottery and then who knows
I think this is fairly realistic. Thoughts?
I was at all 3 games last week and I don't remember seeing as much energy in that rink, than I did Saturday night. And that win came over CBJ. Personally, it's not always about the team your playing, but more importantly about how you play against that team. I'm sure the Fans were going just as nutz last night as they did Saturday, it sounded that way on the radio.
Watching this Sens team play every shift hard, with an urgency, is very enjoyable and makes being a fan fun. Let's hope we see that for the majority of the year.
GSG!!!!
Haha and you believe that...They might have sold that many but there wasnt even close to 18,600 in attendance...wh ich is normal for a Panthers game...
1 word....
Bryzgalov
Thats pretty fair Patrick 2.0, I agree with you that we are a bottom 10 team in the league and seeing how poorly the other teams are aswell, its gonna be a good fight for the lottery pick.
What I think you are missing is that we are 5-5 in the first 10 games... And i doubt ppl are miserable of the sens winning, we just know that we have ALOT of obstacle to overcome... I am very happy but it will take more then 10 games to switch my mind as of Ottawa being a Playoff team...
I am happy with Bryan Murray and Coaching staff, they are doing the best they can with what we have, and its working for now... And we do not have proven players on our team its all IF... IF butler can score.. IF Filatov is the player he is supposed to be... IF Spezza doesnt get injured... IF Anderson plays like last season...
Everyteam has IF but we are one key injury away from it being a rough ride
Quoting Tookie19:
Not far off
Also, Volchenkov and Campoli were joining the rush too often. I counted at least 10 times where Cullen had to play the point to cover for one of them. Though at least Kelly looks 10 years younger out there.
What?
Oh, I'm sorry. It looked like some of the posters were trying to out-stupid each other so I thought I'd jump in.
Guys, it's 10 games in. Sit back and enjoy some really fun hockey. Don't even look at the standings.
Very far off.
Well said Hax!
Would anybody else like to see Murray trade for Rick Nash and what do you guys think the asking price would be?
Nash playing along side Spezza would be perfect.
Perfect.
LMAO...
It would take Spezza to get Nash...
Really what were you thinking?
I'm surprised he didn't try killing himself in that post-game interview.... Yeeessh..
Ugh SF19 - this is bad even for you.
Murray is steadily building a solid TEAM here - 20 guys that can go far. We don't need to put all our eggs in two baskets (Spezza and Nash) and it would take just about every other quality guy we have to get Nash - if we were that stupid.
Tookie... the attendance was approx 18,500 announced last night. That's about 1,000 less than capacity.
Not bad for a week night game against the Panthers.
