Alfie in Sens Heritage Jersey
A game day post coming in a little bit but first I wanted to share this image from the Sens site.
It shows Captain Daniel Alfredsson in the new Heritage jersey that will be available for purchase on October 1. With all the hype around this thing it looks like the club has really delivered. Can't wait to get one!

Ya, It's another think that the organization screwed up on. They built the hype but forgot to show what we are getting. The should have followed the Winnipeg model for bringing out new jerseys and taking orders. Oh well, it's still going to be great.
Anything with a big 0 as a crest is not something I would want to wear. It just looks hurried, used colour palette, similar patterns to others...

You do realize that is an "O" and not a zero. The original Ottawa Senators from the early 20th century had the "O" as the Logo. Ottawa starts with an "O" not a zero l, you must've feel off the Turnip truck really hard.
I just find it pretty funny that everyone had a huge hate-on for the old black jersey but all of a sudden absolutely love this one...
I liked the Sens one and I like this one too, I just don't understand the polar opinions on a jersey that is different but not a drastic change...
I really like the colours of the black jersey. If they had replaced 'SENS' with the 'O' design I think it would have been a hit. Everything else about that one is great.

Yeah I wasn't crazy about the "Sens" logo, but at the same time I'm not crazy about the "O" don't hate it but don't love it either.. I will most likely get one of these since I never got the Sens one, but I'm just not as blown away as most people are...

I have little doubt that he will turn into a legit top 6 player over the course of this season.
The people complaining about this awesome jersey are probably the same people who work for the government and complain that they have to work til 4pm everyday.

I think the jersey is better than the Back in Black piece of crap they last introduced. Still wish they'd put the logo back on the black jerseys.
Can't wait to see the lineup tonight, hope it's a good game and they come out flying again.

That is a pretty fair assessment, although I dont like Filatov, I think he should gel with either Alfie or maybe Michalek? I could see him feeding Michalek.
Yeah and it was ugly as hell back then too...why pay homage to an ugly jersey? I have no problems paying homage to an old jersey but atleast give it some edge while keeping it retro.
Im not stopping you from buying it, Im waiting on the other 3 they are going to be releasing in the next 10 years.
Some people are saying the old black jersey is better...that's just ridiculous. That year almost every team in the league came out with almost the exact same style jersey with their respective team's nickname as the logo(ex. Ducks, Bolts, Sens). How lame is that??
This one actually has some originality because it goes back to the original Sens jerseys which had the "O" and the awesome stripes which I love. They look a little like the awesome 67's jerseys. Just amazing!!
I'm thinking Michalek might be a perfect fit for Filatov. Michalek is solid backchecking and his speed should fit well with Filatov's play.
Michalek really hasn't fit in on this team and any success he's had has been on his own.
2. Getting the All-Star-Game in to town (tough to do but they managed).
3. The new jumbo tron. Was way over due but will dramatically increase the in game experience.
4. ...continued from number 4. The in game experience is so much better this year. Its only pre season but you can already tell they've spent some cash around the buidling. Even the music is better and gets the crowd going
5. Season tickets are available through monthly payment plans. I think this already has and if not will help reach their season ticket sales goals.
6. The new on/off ramp they will be building in the near future. This is mega cash to spend that they didn't have to but the team asked the fans what they wanted and this was far and away the number 1 thing so the franchise is delivering. Huge +!!
