An overtime winner and stick punt from Kaspars Daugavins kept their season alive on Wednesday night and the BSens will be looking for more of the same tonight. Robin Lehner will make his second straight start in the Binghamton net.
Lehner didn't look overly sharp in the highlights I saw but a win is a win. If he can somehow dig Bingo out of this hole they are in right now you would have to think it will do wonders for his confidence. It has been an up and down year for Lehner but he certainly has an opportunity to close on a positive note.
As always, the game is available on the Team1200. Here is how the forwards are expected to line up...
Daugavins-Potulny-Keller
Greening-O'Brien-Condra
Wick-Z. Smith-Butler
Dziurzynski-Bass-Grant.
Where did you find video highlights?
Nash-Duchene-Stewart
Kane-Tavares-Skinner
Ladd-Spezza-Eberle
Vermette-Zajac-Clutterbuck
Phaneuf-Schenn
Methot-Burns
Pietrangelo-Scalzo
that looks like a very weak defense. is there not very many ccanadian defensemen not in the playoffs or something ?
Don't worry my friend. In 6 months he will be beside Spezza :)
Go BINGO
By the way, are there any streams for the game?
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/pisf
Wick ZSmith Butler
Daug Potulny Keller
Greening OB Condra
Diz Bass Grant
There CaptAlfie, he's on the 1st line now.
lehner looking sharp with 39 saves on 40 shots so far
let's see if we can pull off a win !
Go b-sens go !!
Lehner got beat by a point shot with traffic in front. Looked like he never saw it.
Butler scores with 10 left in the 3rd on a shot from the slot.
Lehner made some really big stops early in the game to keep the Bsens in the game. After that has just been very solid. Bsens have picked up their game, so he hasn't had to make that huge stop again.
Greening is flying out there, he looks great. Hit a post on a streak down the wing a few minutes before Butler scored to tie it up.
Butler looks great, but you can tell he really could use a Spezza setting him up (or Locke for the AHL)
Wiercioch looks really good tonight, making some really calm moves out there, and great outlet passes.
Bass although he isn't much of a threat to score is playing extremely well. Made some great defensive plays, and good energy.
Bsens are playing with 5 D and 13 Forward due to injuries
Cannot wait to see BB16 next year play a full season.
He has all the ability in the world to put up 20+ goals. Lehner's a beast back there.
Go BINGO
Goal by Kinrade on a wrap around.
Greening was really the only player for the Bsens in the 2nd OT that was looking good. (other than Lehner)
Full credit for this win goes to Lehner. He had a relatively quiet 3rd and 1st OT. But in the 2nd OT he made a monster diving glove save early on. About 1 minute after that, Manchester was given a penalty shot for intentional pushing the net off by a sens D (it was the correct call), which Lehner also stopped.
He looked great in the pressure packed situation, and really bailed out the Bsens in the few instances where they looked flat during the game.
Game 7!
No he's not the third line centre...it's whoever plays the best gets most ice time, so basically they're the top line
also why does everyone care bout that second round pick, if Nash loses, we get a better first round pick from them
Yeesh
lol for the second time tonight, but a different team.
Ladd - Spezza - Eberle
Nash - Duchene - Stewart
Kane - Tavares - Skinner
Vermette - Zajac - Clutterbuck
There, now he's on the 1st line. The lines are very balanced. Anyone whining about this is being over-sensitive. I expect he will carry his line and play on the PP.
Dude, if they make it to the second round, they pick 24-26, so i don't know what the fuck ur saying
We also get 2nd round pick if they go to Conf Finals. So I guess best scenario for us would be if they lose in Semi finals. This way we get 21st in 1st + 21st in 3rd.
Oh ok then my bad
that'll be good
na this is wrong man. the further they go, the lower the first rounder goes. opposite for if they lose.
No, they only re-seed the final 4 teams standing. So if Nashville ends up beating the Ducks but losing in round 2, the pick is the same as it would have been if they had lost to the Ducks.
I guess you can still think about planning the trip to Bingo!
- 30th - SC winner
- 29th - SC runner up
- 28th - Conference final east or west (whichever had a higher points total in the regular season)
- 27th - Conference final east or west (whichever had the lesser point total in regular season)
- 26th - Division winners (if they didn't make the conference finals, with the highest point total out of division winners only)
- After division winners have been placed accordingly into the draft, then it is point totals ONLY from the regular season.
- If Nashville makes it to next round they can still select 17th but we also gain an additional 3rd rounder (next year).
- If Nashville makes it to the conference final we pick 27th or 28th and get a 2nd rounder (next year)
- If Nashville makes it to the SC finals we pick 29th or 30th and get a 2nd rounder (next year)
If NSH loses in the 1st or 2nd round, Ottawa will select no later than 21st.
