While the Senators goaltending depth remains an ongoing story line this off season, don't rule out the organization selecting a goalie at this year's draft.

Malcolm Subban, a goalie with the Belleville Bulls and brother of Habs defenceman PK Subban was in Ottawa today to work out with the Senators and to meet with the team's staff.

Coming off a season where he looked like a 30 year old again, the playing future of the Ottawa Senators 39 year old Captain remains in limbo.

Over the course of sixteen seasons here in the Nation’s Capital, Daniel Alfredsson has become the undisputed leader and face of the franchise and at some point within the next couple of weeks, he’ll let the organization and the fans know if he has a 17th season in him.

It seems crazy to think that the NHL Entry Draft is now just two weeks away.

Last season it felt like Sens fans were talking draft for almost four months.  With a return to the playoffs this year, and meaningful hockey played until the end of April, the off season is going to feel a little shorter this time around.
