Bingo is a dump. It's basically Vanier and I don't hear people clamouring to relocate to Vanier...if that's how Petersson feel then more power to him. I don't want him silenced and I don't want a candy-coated version of his reality. Liking this Petersson kid more and more each day, wish more of our players would be that honest and direct.

thanks for posting that up F4N, I was thinking the exact same thing. He truly has been one of our steadiest Defensive D-man going back over a year. Yes Karlsson does get the glory for all the hi-lite points, but Lee is a very calming prescence back there. He is the Phillips replacement. I hope we start showing him the love he deserves.

Amen brother, well said, a kid who could easily have said "I will go back to Sweden if I dont play in the NHL" is paying his dues so that he has the best chance at making the team... yes it was stupid, but I am sure that was a homesick young adult, speaking with a fellow countryman, taken out of context. I would be more concerned had he said "wow I love here in Bingo, I would like to make it my career to stay here" comparing this to what Hately did is ridiculous.

I think Kuba will undoubtedly stay for the rest of the season, but as good as he's been this season, I'd rather see him walk to free agency. If Murray can get a guy like Stuart or even Matt Carle who's a free agent that would be great because they wouldn't be in the Suter price range and are still good defencemen. If I were to resign Kuba, I'd throw maybe 2 mill at him for a year and if he doesn't want it he can go. Have to keep in mind that the guy is 35, turning 36 Carle would be a nice fit though

I think that Kuba will stay. However, with the Flyers making the deals they have made, Kuba is at the top of the UFA D-men list. Detroit, Chicago etc... who are looking for defensive help may overpay, 1st rounder or higher prospect for him. At 35 he probably has a couple of years left, so BM has to decide if he is worth keeping.

Serious question guys, what do we do with Kuba? I think it's pretty clear that it would be foolish to trade him at deadline as he's been one of our better, if not best all round defencemen, but: do we resgin him? If so, for how long and how much? List of free agent D-men http://capgeek.com/free_agents.php?year_id=2012&team_id=-1&position_id=D&fa_type_id=2 I drool at the prospect of Ryan Suter or Brad Stuart playing besides Karlsson. ^^

Yes... Because making 500 000 to 700 000 a year to play hockey is devastating. I think it was good that he apologized and everyone has the right to their own opinion. But the money should defiantly not be the issue. Making that kind of cash at 21 is pretty amazing. I believe players make approximately 1/10 of their pro contract value while their playing in the AHL. That's why the article states that he could be making about twice as much playing in Sweden. players of his skill make a mil up in the sel i believe... I didnt realise he only made 60 000. but i'd still be thrilled to make that playing hockey. Anyways that enough on the money debate talking about how much hockey players make to play a game I pay to play makes me sad hahaha

A few questions/comme nts here: - Where's Michalek? He's still fairly young and IMO should be part of the re-build. - You don't think we will sign a single UFA by that time? I feel like if we don't go after one this summer (i.e. Parise), BM will definitely be looking for a T6F in Summer 2013. - I think your projections of Stone and ESPECIALLY Puempel are a little high- I can see Stone playing on our 3rd line by then (similar to JVR in Philly), but Puempel has been battling some injuries and is not even close to being ready at this point (or in 3 yrs). - What happened to Condra/Greening /Daugavins/DaCo sta/O'Brien/Nei l? Greening/Condra are locks on the 3rd/4th line for at least a few seasons (if they keep it up)- the others I could see us parting with though. Here's my projection: Michalek-Spezza -UFA Zibanejad-Turri s-Silfverberg Stone-Prince-Pe tersson Greening-Smith- Foligno Ex: Condra, Noesen TBH, I think our greater concern should be our D... Karlsson-UFA Cowen-Lee (shut down pair?) Boro-Wiercioch/ UFA/2012 or 2013 1st rd pick G- Anderson, Lehner

Trust me, there is no shittier town than Cornwall. I lived there for a year, and as a single guy, could not meet any women that didn't already have 3 kids from 3 different dudes. That place is a black hole of sadness and despair. But the money should defiantly not be the issue. Making that kind of cash at 21 is pretty amazing. Most guys in the AHL don't make anywhere near that. If you read the article or any website that discusses cap hit or contracts you'll see that guys like Petersson make only 10% of what you're suggesting they do. If I'm not mistaken he's making around 62,500. Now I'm not saying that is nothing, especially because its playing a game, but when he could be making more in his own country the money becomes a factor. Though to be fair money is always a factor in everything not just hockey.

To me he’s the perfect number 3 center and I actually see him as a number 2 center in the future, say in maybe 5 years (im not saying its on the sens).
Binghamton is a shitty little town to have to live in if you have lived other places, nothing wrong with being a shitty little town it is what it is. I am sure it sucks to play for an AHL team in general as it is low pay and not a lot of perks. So what the truth hurts. He said nothing wrong and spoke the truth, you guys like to hear BS like oh I like it here, such a great place to live, happy to be playing hockey anywhere under any conditions. He said nothing bad about the fans so they can piss up a rope for all I care to boo him. Bingo fans suck to boo him, Lehner or any other young prospect we have, they are young and learning. You don't deserve our prospects playing for you. pisses me off. I prey they move the team, they can boo an empty building.

At least we're not giving up one of our top prospects or a 1st pick. We retain an asset in Brassard that we can trade down the road. The key to rebuilding properly. Don't give away things for a rental. + gives us 3 lines that can score - very important in the playoffs. 4 capable lines that we can just roll and have confidence in. Calling Bryan Murray right now.

Here is what I think the SENS are up to. They've been scouting Columbus a lot because .... no not Nash or Carter. They're still interested in Brassard. Look Michalek-Spezza -Butler greening-Turris -Alfie Foligno-Brassar d-Neil Daugavins-Smith -Condra O'Brien Who would we have to give up One of Wiorcioch-Peter ssen or Da Costa + a third pick. Then we still move Kuba for a late first or 2nd and a third. How does this make us look next year? Michalek-Spezza -Stone Silfverburg-Tur ris-Alfie Foligno-Brassar d-Zibby Greening-Smith- Neil or Condra Not too shabby For Columbus they shed salary cuz he has 1 more year I think at 3,75 million. Then with our top 2 picks this year we grab 2 Defenceman or 1 D and Subban(Goalie). How does that sound.

Cullen is from Minny & wanted to sign there & raise his family there, not sure why he would want to leave now? Penner's wife is an actress, I'm guessing she would prefer to remain in California some where or New York. NOt sure where this guy ends up & whether we see him in the NHL next season. This is the second team he has had problems with & would cost too much. Wolski is another guy who may have fallen from favour & could be had cheap. Stewart IMO is being taught a lesson from Hitchcock, I doubt he would be available but hey anything is possible.
