a lot of picks according to the trade deadline news In another major deal, the Gatineau Olympiques sent right-winger Jean-Gabriel Pageau to Chicoutimi for a 1st round pick in 2013 (acquired by Blainville-Bois briand) and 1st and 2nd round choices in 2014. Pageau has scored on average 1 goal per game this season (23 goals in 23 games) and has a total of 39 points Those Q guys though, its hard to tell if they will blossom into the scoring prowess at the nhl level like they do at the Q level...not every player is Crosby or Lecavalier

Has anyone checked out the most recent prospect update from this past Monday?? Pageau - 29 gp, 29g, 23a, 52 pts..... wow, why the hell did Gatineau trade him and what did they get in return for this dominant player?

According to sportsclubstats .com, you are bang on in your assessment of winning 17 games of 30 to solidify a spot in the playoffs, that would give the team 97 pts, which usually 92 to 94 is enough to get in the east (not so much the west) having a larger share of home games will help, so am hoping this team can string together a few W's and then see where the chips fall, playoffs is a bonus for us this year, and who cares who we play? That won't change how the Stache will prepare his troops to do battle, we may be outskilled, but won't be outworked a whole series. Not sure why 17 wins is the number everyone comes up with, I think even at 15 (.500 hockey) we get in, assuming of course we manage a few points from OT or shootout losses. either way, Sens are very well positioned to make it to the playoffs. GO Sens!

Going to the casino to watch the draft tonight! I hope it was well worth the money! I dont know why some reporters have Alfie selecting anyone BUT Karlsson in the 1st round...Unless Chara goes first and picks him I doubt it he will go Thomas or Seguin. My first 5 picks Team Alfie/Lundqvist 1. Karlsson 3. Spezza 5. Michalek 7. Gaborik 9. Elliott Team Chara/Lupul 2. Thomas 4. Seguin 6. Kessel 8. Datsyuk 10. Weber

I'm actually more excited to watch the All-Star draft tonight than I am to watch the actual game. Team Alfie is going to be easy to predict I think. Alfie and Lundqvist will take Karlsson first, and then I wouldn't be surprised if they take Gaborik next to keep the Rangers players together. We know Chara won't draft a Sedin so both of them are automatically on team Alfie, hopefully he takes them with his last two picks lol

Chirp, Sending this comment all the way from the small town of Fort Macleod in Southern Alberta. Definitely excited for the Allstar festivities. Ottawa couldn't have gotten the chance to host this event in a better year than when our team is in a "rebuilding" stage yet we are one of the top teams in the East and one of the biggest surprises in the league. I love reading the articles on this site and look forward to your updates from all the exciting events going on this weekend. I wish I was there to enjoy them. Chirp, don't forget about all of the Sens fans in the west. Especially when you do your contests! Keep up the amazing work Chirp. Ryan

I hope the boys send a message Tuesday night from a physical perspective. If we're going to play with the big boys, let's show them we can play their game. We need Neil, Carkner, Smith, Konopka and Greening to show the Bruins that we will not be pushed around. I hope Smith fucks Frankenstein Horton up again, Carkner ko's Thornton, Neil speed bags Lucic, and Greening takes a full speed run at Chara in to the boards. I don't even care if we spend the whole night in the box. With four games left against the Bruins, we need to bring it. Oh, I forgot, Foligno is going to run that commie pinko Thomas right through his net and in to the first fucking row! Bring on the Bruins!

Not feeling the games against the Bruins. Since the lockout they've owned us (even when they were shit) It's in our hands. I really hope we finish 6th because 5th means a date with Philly and 7th or 8th means the Rangers or Bruins. Yikes.
