Goalie Decisions Loom

Written by SensChirp
In a year where injuries have ravaged the Ottawa Senators line up, the team has managed to stay afloat thanks to lights out goaltending from the three headed monster in the crease. Before his injury, Craig Anderson was on his way to a Vezina type season.  Since he’s gone down, both Ben Bishop (2.62 GAA, .921 save %) and Robin Lehner (1.92 GAA, .944 save %) have done an outstanding job making big stops for this hockey team and keeping them right in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Game Day- Lehner Starts vs Bruins

Written by SensChirp
After a dramatic comeback against the New York Islanders on Tuesday night, the Ottawa Senators look to carry that momentum over on home ice. The Sens have posted an extremely impressive 10-1-3 record at Scotiabank Place this season and will be hoping for more of the same as they begin a stretch that will see them play five straight games on home ice.  It starts tonight as the Senators go toe to toe with the Boston Bruins.

Methot Could Play Tomorrow

Written by SensChirp
On the heels of an impressive come from behind win over the New York Islanders, the Senators were back on the ice for practice this afternoon. And while a handful of veterans sat out the brief skate, there were a couple bits of info passed along by Head Coach Paul MacLean afterwards.  The first is the somewhat surprising news that Marc Methot may be available to play tomorrow against the Bruins.

Gonchar, Pesky Sens Do it Again

Written by SensChirp
At this point in the season, nothing should surprise you when it comes to the Ottawa Senators. Facing a 3-1 deficit after forty minutes, and with another key player lost to injury, the Ottawa Senators completely turned this game on its head. Silfverberg, Smith, Gonchar and Latendresse scored third period goals and the Sens completed a ferocious third period rally, upending the New York Islanders by a 5-3 final.

Game Day- Sens on the Island

Written by SensChirp
On the heels of an impressive weekend where they registered wins over the Buffalo Sabres and the Winnipeg Jets, the Ottawa Senators look to continue their strong play when visit the Islanders tonight in Long Island. The Sens come into the game holding down the 5th spot in the Eastern Conference which has them 7 points clear of the New York Islanders, who currently find themselves in 9th place and on the playoff bubble in the East.  Needless to say but another huge two points on the line tonight.
