Game Day- Battle of Ontario

Written by SensChirp
A night after an ugly home ice loss, the Ottawa Senators are right back at it against their provincial rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs. While it’s a rivalry that has faded a little bit in recent years, this is a massive game for both teams.  The Sens currently have a 7 point lead over the Leafs but have a couple games in hand.  Ottawa sits fifth while the Leafs are in ninth and just a single point out of the final playoff spot.
(UPDATE 11:02 AM)- With a lengthy road trip kicking off in Toronto tonight, the Sens have added some depth by recalling forward Andre Petersson and defenceman Mark Borowiecki from Binghamton of the AHL.

Sens Continue to Roll

Written by SensChirp
The Ottawa Senators continue to find ways to win hockey games. A red hot Craig Anderson stood on his head throughout regulation, turned aside all three Habs in the shootout and set the stage for another clutch goal by Daniel Alfredsson, giving the Sens a 3-2 shootout victory.

After a massive win over the top team in the Eastern Conference, the Senators will look to keep their recent run going when they visit the slumping Montreal Canadiens. The Sens have gone eight games without a regulation loss and are the hottest team in the NHL.  The last team to beat the Sens in regulation? The Montreal Canadiens back on December 27th.
