BSens Calder Cup Bound

Thanks to a rocket shot by Ryan Keller off an overtime faceoff, the Binghamton Senators are headed to the Calder Cup Final!

With a thrilling win in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals, the Sens swept aside the Charlotte Checkers and will now face off with the winner of Hamilton/Houston in the AHL championship.  Congratulations to the players and to the loyal fans in the city of Binghamton.

Binghamton Dominates Game 3

Usually road warriors in these playoffs, the Binghamton Senators were absolutely dominant on home ice and scored a third straight win over the Charlotte Checkers, this time by a final of 7-1.

The BSens now hold a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals and sit just a single win away from a spot in the Calder Cup Finals.

Calder Cup Quest Continues in Bingo

After stealing the first two games of the series on enemy turf, the Binghamton Senators return home for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals, tonight at the Broome Country Veterans Memorial Arena.

The puck drops at 7:05.

Soon to be an unrestricted free agent, waiver wire pick up Marek Svatos is currently in negotiations with the Zurich Lions of the Swiss League.  Bob Hartley recently signed on to coach the Lions next season.

Svatos played in 19 games with the Ottawa Senators, picking up three goals and two assists during his time with the team.

BSens in Control

With Friday night's 3-0 blanking of the Charlotte Checkers, the Binghamton Senators sit firmly in the driver's seat in the Eastern Conference finals.  Bingo now returns home for three straight on home ice with Game 3 going on Tuesday night.

It may sound a little bit selfish but I sure hope the Checkers can win at least one game so we don't have to scrap Saturday's road trip!

If you were late tuning into Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final between the Binghamton Senators and the Charlotte Checkers you certainly would have missed a lot. It was a sloppy opening period that saw the team's combine for seven goals and Bingo held a 4-3 lead through twenty.

It was a lead they would never relinquish, on route to a 7-4 win in Game 1.

Game One in Charlotte- Gryba Returns

Robin Lehner and the rest of the Binghamton Senators continue their quest for the Calder Cup tonight against the Charlotte Checkers.  Game 1 of that series goes in Charlotte.

All the action can be heard live on the Team 1200 courtesy of Bingo's play by play guy Grady Whittenberg who has to be one of the best in the business. The puck drops at 7:05 PM.

Lehner Continues to Impress

Perhaps the most impressive part about Binghamton's run to AHL's Eastern Conference finals has been the play of Robin Lehner. After the season Barry Brust had in Bingo, it was hard to imagine Lehner was going to see much time in the playoffs, if any at all.

But with Bingo down 3-1 in their opening round series with the Monarchs, Lehner got his chance and he hasn't looked back.
