In a gathering that included players, media, management, Mayor Jim Watson, a handful of special guests and for the first time, the Sens Blogosphere, the Ottawa Senators officially announced their plans for their 20th Anniversary Season.

And if today is any indication, it's going to be a great year to be a fan of the Ottawa Senators.

(UPDATE 9:45 PM)- The Binghamton Senators have retained a key piece of the Calder Cup winning team signing forward Kaspars Daugavins to a one year deal. Was really disappointed when I heard he was looking at a possible return to Latvia. Great to have him back with the BSens.

Like many of you, I was able to get away for the long weekend and could not access the site while away at a cottage.  Have a little bit of time today though and wanted to let everyone know what I have planned for Round 2 of The Search.

It has been a topic that Sens fans have been asking about for quite some time.

And according to a recent design leaked by the company rumoured to be directly involved, it sounds like Scotiabank Place could have a new scoreboard in the very near future.

Each day this week, I will featuring one of the five finalists in the search for the new SensChirp contributor.

I have narrowed the search to five contributions and will be posting the entry from each of the final five over the course of this week.  The readers will have a chance to give their feedback at the bottom of the article.
