Gutsy Road Win in Winnipeg

These are the type of games the Sens lost regularly last season.

But with Paul MacLean behind the bench there is a completely different attitude.  This team believes in the system and when things aren't going their way, they stick with it.  That persistence paid off tonight as the Ottawa Senators scored a gutsy 6-4 road win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Game Day Notes and Scoreboard Update

A little late on the draw today.  Have been away from my computer and was not able to update the site until now.

Thankfully, Paul MacLean set the stage for tonight's line up at practice yesterday so we know there won't be any changes.  David Rundblad stays in the mix on the back end and Craig Anderson makes the start in goal.

Spezza Scores Twice in Sens Win

After six straight on the road, the Ottawa Senators returned to Scotiabank Place and picked up a solid, hardworking 4-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

The offence came from Jason Spezza who scored twice, David Rundblad's first in the NHL and the game winner from Zack Smith.  Excellent bounce back performance after an ugly loss in Pittsburgh on Friday night.

Game Day- Sens Take on Crosby, Pens

After a lengthy break, the Ottawa Senators finally close out a six game road swing with a date with Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Sens come into Pittsburgh with points in four straight games and will close out the trip against what appears to be their toughest opposition to date. The Penguins sit second in the league with only the surprising Minnesota Wild racking up more points.

Sens Grab 5 of 6 Points in Western Canada

By picking up five of a possible six points, the Senators closed out a successful swing through Western Canada by dropping an overtime decision to the Vancouver Canucks

It wasn't the ending to the Sens were looking for but this team has played extremely well on this road trip and continues to demonstrate a strong work ethic away from Scotiabank Place.
