We'll start with the draft itself.
As I mentioned the other day, it really does seem like all options are on the table at this point. The Senators are confident they can get a good player at 15 but if there is a specific guy the team wants and a move up is required, Murray is prepared to do it.
Just as importantly, if the right move is a to shift down in the order and add some additional assets, Murray won't hesitate to do that.
Murray always stresses the importance of relying on his scouts and he indicated that at this point in time anyway, Pierre Dorion and his staff have not indicated that there is a guy they "must" have. Sounds like it's going to be a read and react type situation on draft day.
Important to note that among the players the Senators have brought in thus farm, four are goalies. The list includes- Malcolm Subban, Andrei Vasilevski, Daniel Altshuller and Francois Brassard. A couple of those guys look like they could go in the first couple rounds while the other two, Altshuller and Brassard, could potentially be third round targets.
Another priority for Bryan Murray is locking up defenceman Erik Karlsson.
Everything I hear to this point indicates a three year deal is a real possibility. Given the CBA uncertainty, a shorter term deal might be favourable for the Senators and at 3 years, they ensure that Karlsson will still be a restricted free agent at the end of the deal. The two sides have held conversations and are expected to meet face to face at the draft.
While Karlsson remains the top priority, Murray also has to make decisions on the team's UFAs including Kuba, Gilroy, Winchester, Konopka and Carkner. Murray will let each of those guys know his plans in the days leading up to the draft.
Murray hinted that he doesn't expect to be overly active on July 1 but that doesn't mean he won't be looking to deal before or at the draft.
Either way, it's clear that things are about to pick up steam for the Ottawa Senators. With six UFAs, four RFAs, a handful of picks at the draft, Bryan Murray and his staff have a lengthy To-Do list facing them this off season and will start to check things off over the next week.
Here is a link to interviews with Bryan Murray, Pierre Dorion and a unique behind the scenes look at the Sens amateur scouting meetings.
I'd like to encourage everyone that is having issues to explain them in the comment section. Going to ask that the host read through all the issues to see if there is a way we can get things back on track.
lots of feedback given in yesterdays comments section
I think everyone forgets that the critical part of an offer sheet is that the player in question (Karlsson) actually has to agree and sign the offer sheet for it to count.
Islanders can't just come and try and steal Karlsson without Karlsson's blessing. So first and fore most if your karlsson, you think you will sign it?
Only way he does is if he thinks he will get blindsighted by the sens by a low ball offer, and this will allow him to get what he wants, which is not in Karlsson's character (I don't believe)
The site is working fine since MOnday on my lap top. On my work computer (and I have tried it on several different machines) the site generally operates between 0930 and 1245. Give or take a few minutes.
Refreshing the cache doesn't work. Rebooting the machine doesn't work. Clearing all history doesn't work.
When attempting to access the site I receive the message server not found (after a minute or so of trying). This is only happening since the recent changes and only happens with the senschirp site.
It doesn't make a difference whether I utilise the link on my favourites, go through a search engine or type in the url.
You know when you ring your IT people at work and they say have you tried turning it off and on again and you think the guy at the other end is a tool? Well that's pretty much exactly the way your server guy is acting. Seems to me that his service to you isn't worth shit.
Continually stating that must be a user problem when different users have different issues and the only common denominator is that you have migrated servers doesn't make logical sense.
The it Guy you are talking to either doesn't know what he is talking about...is giving you the default it answer for everything internet related...being lazy....or just doesn't give a shit.
The topic...I will be absolutely the most happy person in the world if it is a 3 ye deal.
Really looking forward to draft day and the days leading up to it.
Yar!
http://www.bluejacketsxtra.com/content/stories/2012/06/15/trade-talk-for-nash-heats-up-as-draft-nears.html
Someone is probably going to pay so much to acquire him...
I'd love to have him here via free agency or a "steal" but probably the asking price would alarm a lot of us.
http://www.tsn.ca/draftcentre/feature/?id=9682
Going to be an exciting couple of weeks for sure.
That said, if people are having issues with contacting your site, they should do a nslookup on their machines when it's working and when it isn't, and see if the IP addresses resolve the same. If not, it's a DNS issue. If the IP addresses resolve the same, it's your tech's issue. Actually, on both counts it's your tech's issue.
With a 3 year deal he will be 25 and have 6 years of service, thus maintaining his RFA status
I love the fact that both sides seem to be on the same page. Karlsson will be a Sens for a long long time, no matter how many contracts he gets, or how long they will be.
Edit: Alcatraz is right about Karlsson's RFA status.
Just read yesterday's comments section. Not to be an ass but it will save about 45 comments
I think this is risky Keep in mind that the Cap will continue to increase, thus increasing the Max a player gets and average salary would also increase. If his stats keep going up he will demand more like 8-9 illion in 3 years
I think our best value is signing him long term, 7-8 years at 6.5 to 7 per...
Also would be an upgrade over Kuba.
Would anybody be willing to take on that salary?
What would it take to get him...
(Rick Nash come to Ottawa!)
True but at age of 25 we could sign him long term till age of like 32
we sign him long term now we could lose him for nothing at age 29 when people then offer him 10 mill
1. bad contract
2. too old
though i agree that we could probably get him cheap since he's done so poorly the last couple of seasons
The way i see it is by giving 7-8 yrs, his stats will show his true value. 3 years stats would be inflated...
I wouldn't say he is too old at 29, would be a great presense for Karlsson
As for bad contract sure for 2 more years when it really wont affect us. You know his contract is gunna be much lower next time.
And regardless of his performance you know teams will be lining up for him in 2 years out of hope he returns to form. Everyone knows he is painfully shy and introverted so if he enjoys Ottawa his decision will be that much easier to sign for like 4-5 mill
I actually dont hate the idea of Bouwmeester. What if it was a deal for Gonchar? Flames get a cheaper expiring contract. We get a 28 year old defenceman to play alongside Karlsson.
Granted, I haven't watched a ton of Bouwmeester the last couple years.
Then karlsoon will demand Bowmester type money
if not more
If Alfie tells Murray one final season, I would be inclined to find a way to keep Gonchar, even though it may go against Uncle Eugene internal cap
Send them some prospects, perhaps puemple and petersson
then roll
Karlsson-Bouwmeester
gonchar-cowen
phillips-boro/gryba/carks
Solid back end that would then see gonchar walk at end of year
Can anyone having an issue please go to a command prompt and type:
ping www.senschirp.ca
See if the result is different when you can connect vs when you cannot. The IP I get (working) is: 184.170.130.170
I'm pretty sure we all know Karlsson will be worth more and get more than Bouwmeester's 6.8 mill lol thats pretty much a given, if not this contract then next. It wouldn't really impact him at all
Hockeysverige.se reports #Sens interested in Swedish D Hampus Lindholm, if he's available at 15. Endurance test results were off the charts.
same result here, I will try it again in an hour when the site has gone down
The onyl production that has decreased since his time in Florida is his goal scoring. His assists have stayed around the 25a area, which is what he produced in FLA
Only difference is he is scoring 10 goals less in Calgary than FLA.
He still played nearly 25 min a game for Calgary these past 3 years
He is still a very usefull dman that at his current level is probably being over paid by 2 mill max and on an open market would still fetch 5 million. He isn't that bad, just being killed because he makes 6.8
His assists would more than likely go up with karlsson, and also his goal scoring would probably trend upwards with karlsson being guarded for one time situations
Hey Chirp,
I would trade both Gonchar & Kuba for Bowmeester, and then we would have to pay the difference to Bowmeester (6,680,000) vs Gonchar (5,500,00).
Also, it would leave the Sens with more money available, to
trade for a top 3 forward !!
why would they want to trade for Kuba when they can have him for nothing on July 1
Good point. Forgot about the NMC. That would definitely be a tough sell.
Chirp, FYI -- I've had no issues whatsoever with the new site...working perfectly...
Anxious for the draft...
Exactly and he just eats minutes. 25 min a game for Calgary, we need that here in Ottawa
Since with kuba gone, and karlsson not playing PK it really just leaves us Cowen/Phillips/ Gonchar/Rook for PK duties
OK they fixed it (not that anyone cared)...still hate those fuckers at Toronto Sports Network
The loss of his cap hit would benefit Calgary as well.
It's downright scary looking at those actual 4 PK defensemen. The Sens need someone else in the top 4 D... That should be Murray's priorty... not Nash...
I noticed both TML picks were listed.
It's hard not to come to the conclusion that either the TSN website people don't know what they are doing or don't give a fuck about being accurate or don't give a fuck about being accurate or objective about the Senators.
Or, all of the above.
Jay-bo (if we can't trade for him attempt to sign Carle) Karlsson
Cowen Gonchar
Phillips Aucion
Boro
I think that is an amazing mix of youth and veteran... Aucion is the perfect fit... great veteran, can still play 20mins a game, defensive minded but can still move the puck wwwayyy better than carkner, from ottawa, great mentor for players like Boro and Cowen and even Karlsson)
Jay-Bo I already mentioned and I think we all to some degree think he would be a good fit.
As much as I like Carkner if we can get Aucion for say 2 year (2mil next year 1mil the next) I would be a great veteran signing, pretty low risk as he is proven and can still play a decent level. (not to mention a good retirement gig in your hometown)
Just some thoughts
OOPS,
Forgot about NMC re Gonchar.
Would still be worth trying to lure Bowmeester to Ottawa,
as Kuba's $3,700,000 would be off the books.
Could get a lot out of Bowmeester in PP and PK,as he can play 25 minutes a game. and would be great if paired with Karlsson.
If you looked earlier on TSN (or my comments above) they had Toronto's prospects listed instead of ours(check the TSN comment section under the article).
They have since changed it but yes, failed to recognize the Noesen and Puemple 1st round picks. They 'make me Laugh' (get it). Nib High Football rules!
I also saw your post and replied to it, i just didn't bother to quote you.
A bit like now.
I have a feeling BM is using his comments about the draft to avoid putting the idea out, that they really do want to make a deal with it. It's always in a dealers best Interest to not look interested. Saying they are happy with remaining at 15th, is the right way to play it. Even if that IS the plan.
I'm excited to see what happens, but I won't be angry if nothing does.
When I switch back to Wi-Fi, I can access it no problem.
DNS and Ping shows the same IP for senschirp.ca either way.
ALL of which will go to King Karlsson's raise
Again, this is only when hitting it from 3G.
In short, it is on the server end, not the client. The "INTERNAL ERROR" message makes that pretty clear.
Welcome to the restaurant business, Chris! Hope there wasn't any major damage.
Its not just your opinion its fact that Jay-Bo is better than Gonch
Regardless of his contract Jay-Bo is still a valuable dman whoc can play 25 min a game in all situations, skates like the wind and on a bad year will put up 30+ pts
jay is a good player however, he is the biggest curse in the NHL. since his rookie season in junior in 1999 up till this season, he has made the playoffs once. and it was in the AHL in 2004 lockout season. he played 18 PO games and gathered up 0 points where they were swept 4-0 in the finals.
jay has never got a single point in a playoff game in any of the CHL AHL NHL.
and for that reason, i dont want him on my team
His team never made playoffs in NHL or CHL because he was on crappy teams
In the CHL he was a top prospect into the team which means it begins crappy and he was an 18 year old who made NHL therefore not playing on a now strong CHl team, going again to a weak NHL team. Circumstantial at best
Yes lock out doesn't look good on him. But still like I mentioned the only statistic he has regressed his goals. His assists have remained the same and still plays 25 min a game
i understand that the odds of such a good player getting such horrible luck his entire career of just being on the wrong team at the wrong time is so rare. however, i still strongly think he cant play pressure games, here is some more in depth stats to help.
WJC, he played for 3 years. 21 games (in first year 7games 0 points, understandable being a 16 year old dman, 2nd year 7 games 2assists. 3rd year 7 games 2assists) he collected 2 bronze medals with canada in that period.
next came the world championships, hes taken part in 4 years. 1st year 3g4a in 9 games (pretty impressive), 2nd 2g1a 9games, 3rd 0points 9games. 4th 2a 8games. collecting 2golds 1silver.
then was the world cup. 0points in 4 games (gold medal)
then the torino winter olympics in 06, he got 0points in 6 games.
i mean, making it to team canada is respectable by all measures. but being on a insanely high scoring national team and finding a way to get no points raises a flag for me.
As much as I normally look at overall stats first, I've heard about his curse and like many others, it does make me weary about wanting him in a Sens Jersey. I know he can play 25 minutes in any situation, I know his assists have always been good. But in the end, we want a guy we can feel comfortble with in the Playoffs when we make it, and he hasn't made it. Sure, if we did pick him up and we made the playoffs, he could end up being a difference maker, we don't know for sure. But can you imagine what type of chaos we'd see written here if he did sign and Ottawa didn't make the playoffs next year. The entire blame would fall on this curse, you can book that!!
and he consistantly gets well over 120 blocked shots a year and near 100 hits a year.
He is a stabalizing force. Just cause he is a smoothe skater and great passer doesn't mean he is supposed to be an offensive guy potting pts everywhere he goes
Hes an every down running back so to speak. He absorbs minutes and is a good dman. Yes overpaid but regardless I would honestly expect him to post this line in ottawa:
80gp: 8-10g, 25-35a for 33-45pts 0.5ppg which is great from the backend all the while playing PK1 and 25 min a game. Get away from the "hype" and understand those are great numbers
Pair him with EK and he will produce. Look what it did for Kuba last year.
But otherwise it's just a bit of a flukey stat to me.
Of course, if we did get him and missed the playoffs he'd be the goat for sure. Kind of the anti-Brian Lee who was reported to be a good luck charm.
Nashville:
Lindback
Wilson
7th
Tampa Bay:
two 2nd picks
3rd pick
Caron
The Edmonton Oilers will hold on to the number 1 pick in the 2012 NHL Draft and not trade down, reports Sportsnet's Mark Spector.
Oilers won't trade No. 1 overall pick. Also won't decide until Thursday night, Friday morning who they'll take.
No. 1 pick too costly. From Leafs, would have to include a Gardiner. From Habs, a Subban. Neither team willing, so Oilers will draft.
So here come the trades. Good trade for Tampa.. Lindback is a good goaltender..
That takes them out of the ridiculous Luongo rumours.
Wow, so Lindback is Tampa's answer? I think the kid has talent but I never saw him as a #1 and I know damn well Nashville didn't. Especially with Rinne holding the fort. I guess it's safe to say Nashville will be going after one of the young top goalies and a few more D in this draft with 9 picks to be made.
Wow great trade for both teams, is that Colin Wilson, if so awesome addition for TB. Stevie Y is rockin in up in TB!!
***Nvm its Kyle Wilson...
Don Cherry @CoachsCornerCBC
What I remember most from this playoff run is the Senators up 3-2 in series and pulling Stone from the lineup and replacing him with a guy from Sweden who didn't contriubte one bit of blood, sweat or tears for the club. I can't imagine how Stone felt. So proud to set up Spezza
Kimelman
http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=80917
Has us picking Ceci at 15?!?!
Morreale
http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=80918
Has us picking Finn at 15, very possible and would be great!
Hoffner
http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=80921
Has us picking Lindholm, who? not another Swede...
Over dramatic much, he doesnt know Stone from another junior to save his life. He just doesnt like Euro's.
He has a bit of a point but thats just him talking like he usually does. Good for Stone tho.
And its not like Stone, like Don mentions, contributed that much more blood, sweat and tears than Silf, he had 1 assist and it was a chip up to Spezza who fired a pretty weak shot that beat Lundqvist 5hole. We didnt see Stone for the rest of the game.
Cherry is such an instigator, this has nothing to do with how both guys played, its cuz Stone is a good Canadian boy.
I'm off to the cottage folks, have a lovely weekend! (long one for me whoohoo!)
altho lindholm is another smooth skating 2way 17year old Dman already playing serious amount of minutes, I have to agree with you on the "not another Swede..."
i sound like a fool to say anything negative about swedes as a sens fan, but we seriously need to expand. We are built off canadians, a few americans, many swedes and 1 or 2 czech/danes.
One hockey nation i wish for us to expand into is Finland or atleast slovakia.
I don't care if the entire lineup is Mexican as long as they're the best players/team we can put together.
I would hope that Murray and his team are not looking at Swedes more favorably though due to our history with them. I'd hate to see them draft a Swede over another player purely on nationality. Just like I wouldn't want them to skip a player because he's Russian. (Though as I've expounded on other threads, I do think the notion of a player moving far from home and "culture shock" are elements to consider in part.)
But maybe there's something to keeping EK65 feeling at home? If there's a coin-toss between two players do you pick the Swede with the idea that a happy EK65 is a good thing? Does EK even care if his team has more Swedes?
Bouwmeester GP G A Points Team
06-07 82 12 30 42 Florida
07-08 82 15 22 37 Florida
08-09 82 15 27 42 Florida
09-12 avg 82 4 23 27 Calgary
Doughty
08-09 81 6 21 27 Kings
09-10 82 16 43 59 Kings
10-11 76 11 29 40 Kings
11-12 77 10 26 36 Kings
The above tells me, that Bouwmeester, for whatever reason
as dramatically dropped his goals, but not his assists.
He would no doubt become much more productive in a Senators
lineup and paired with Erik Karlsson !!
He is full of hot air. Putting Silfverberg in for Stone had NOTHING to do with the Sens losing games 6 & 7... See Peel.
RE: The Mexican part, as long as they bring the cerveza and Tequila....
Not sure how much more "at home" you can get. Ottawa is super relaxed and low-key and quiet. Sure you have some drunken shenanigans on the Market but w/e. It's not as if Karlsson was coming from Sweden to say...Uganda or Saudi Arabia. You pick the BPA plain and simple. Also, Detroit seems to be the aberration in recent winners having a surfeit of Swedish players. LA had a hefty number of North Americans. So did Chicago, Pittsburgh, Anaheim...seems like the model is to have about 10-15 Canadians/Ameri cans, season in some Euro grit/skill and then roll the dice.
We'll see I guess but if we don't get out of the first round by the time Murray's contract expires I'd be in favour of an outside GM with a new approach. If you need to ruffle some feathers to win so be it...
GO SENS GO !!!
agree 100%

The more time goes on I don't care if we give up our draft pick in a stellar player trade.
An impact player over waiting years for development.
We have holes to fill today,
If we get a top D and a top forward in a trade I am thrilled, unless we trade up big time the draft is not critical for next year.
I would however like to see us get a goalie for Bingo, it is reasonable that we trade a goalie in a deal, not that we would want too but it may be necessary to get it done.
I agree with others it is going to be painful to see who we lose in a trade but give to get.
We all have our favorites and it could be them going.
as long as the return is worth it I am good.
And the fact that the server is running and up and other users have no issues explains this as server problem, how exactly??
Are you sure your ISP isn't using any weird proxy settings?
Best way to find out is to run Fiddler, or Charles web proxy debugging tools to see what is really happening during the HTTP communication between web client and server. They are free tools. Just google them.
KJ
I have a mac and I am on a home wifi with no other routers.
chirp I would ask your servers if you are on a dedicated ip if you are there should be no issue, the other problem could be your new providers can't handle massive hits on the site all at once, example an overload of people accessing the site at a certain time.
that would explain the messages some get at various times.
you have a boatload of people that check the site even if not registered and they don't post.
I am sure you know that from your website stats on your control panel.
i am no tekkie but thats my 2 cents.
Also absolutely nothing changes on my end on any device when it does go down around 1700...and again nothing changes when it comes back up between 1015-1130
Hahaha and an hour later right on cue it works on my home network...unrea l
Industry sources say two quality roster players and two prospects is likely asking price for Rick Nash #CBJ #NHL
So looking something like
Michalek
Bishop
Stone
1st
For just Nash.....
Way to steep in my opinion and I am not even as high on Stone as most people around here. Bishop also very well may not qualify as a quality roster player....maybe sub Foligno?
Still pretty bonkers if you ask me.
Take that for what it's worth.
KJ,
Not sure why you think that anyone should have to google tools to access a website? It happens to me as well, only when accessing via my 3G phone, and only during certain times of the day.
Fact of the matter is that the site is busted. If you are as I suspect the guy running the show, how about you just address the problem instead of talking down to loyal members; members who, if they leave because of these issues, will most certainly make the owner of the site naturally upset.
Why don't you call Bell and ask them what weird settings the use on their 3G network?
Completely agree. way too much for Nash. Great player but when much better players like say, Hossa or Kovalchuk, got less or similar in return it makes no sense. Howsen is dreaming but I guess he thinks the market will demand it and he might be right.
But honestly, at least one of our top prospects are likely within 2 years of having realistic 30 goal potential, and I would argue that Silfverberg has a shot at 30 next year. Plus Turris is a very likely candidate for 30 next year. Nash is guaranteed 35 goals with the Sens, which is very nice, but not worth the farm for with our prospect pool.
Forget Nash, focus on a dealing for a top 4 d-man.
Personally and I have said it before,Michalek belongs on the second line where I am 100% certain he would excel and likely be just as, if not more productive then on the first line. He will be able to face the 2nd tier players/defende rs, and frankly I think he is near the top of that crop.
Forget Nash...if we are going for a top 3 grab Ryan...he will likely cost half what Nash does.
If Ceci, Trouba, Maatta & Lindholm are all gone by 15 I could see Murray moving down a few places to acquire a 2nd or 3rd rd pick. I also hope he makes a couple of deals to get a few more picks specifically a late 1st or early 2nd rd pick. I would love to see Ottawa come away from this draft with Koekkoek & Wilson from the 1st rd.
And we certainly have what it takes to get him
not that i believe the rumour but wow, that would be the kane i want.
The source is: Renaud P Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS
Don't know anything about him or how reliable his reports are..
i guess we will know soon enough. this goes without needing to be said but the asking price would obviously be pretty insane but may be worth it. if you really broke it down, i think he will be just as good as nash (if not better).
if this trade was to happen, its one that i love and hate equally. It will sting to lose one of our underdog "clutch" performers that to me, looks like he will be the man we need in the playoffs. but at the same time with all the added forward prospects, this can open a spot for possibly mika Z as 3rd line center (or tons of other possible scenarios with our flexibility)
and that draft pick better be anything lower than a 4th rounder.
Zack Smith is one of the FEW DECENT penalty killers the Sens have. We can't overlook the aspects of that on the Sens. The number of penalties this team takes and is given... the PK has to be one of the key parts on this team.
Last year's penalty killers were Zack Smith, Condra, Michalek, Daugavins. Who else? O'Brien? That's not a lot. Alfie did not kill penalties last season.
I would actually prefer to deal Foligno to Zack Smith.. Chicago wants grit.
I saw that blog on HB.. The other trade scenario they had was Zack & Robin for Hjalmarsson & Stalburg....
Make that Foligno & Bishop.. then I say deal.
well hjalmarsson would be already a great addition to our PK unit.
if borocop makes the team, then he will also be a guy on the PK too.
but that doesnt answer your question about PK forwards.
I know that silfver did play on the PK in sweden, so he may be a decent addition. then if zenonK or winchester return, and get regular shifts, those are 2 good guys for the PK.
and depending on how ready mikaZ is, he can kill too.
He has a great shot, he is physical, pretty good on the faceoff and PK-- I just think he is McLean's type of player... one he would prefer to keep.
Don't get me wrong Hjarlmasson (sp?) would be good on defense... but I think he could be had for another player.
If Nash wears red and black:
Zibanejad (this one pains me), Bishop, Michalek and the rights to Foligno are history.
Silfverberg - Spezza - Nash
Stone - Turris - Alfredsson
Regin - Smith - Neil
Greening - O'Brien - Condra
If continued rebuild w/o Nash
Michalek - Spezza - Stone
Silfverberg - Zibanejad - Alfredsson
Foligno - Smith - Neil
Greening - Regin - Condra
No disrespect to Greening but enough with these 7th rounders as top 6. Exception of Stone. Because he is Stone. And I just realized that I forgot Turris if Nash is not apart of the team. So Spezza, Regin, Zibanejad, Smith, O'Brien, Turris and plans on resigning Winchester will have a shitload of centremen? What is Murray planning on doing? There's too many damn prospects and surely as most of you guys mentioned, not everyone will have a career here in Ottawa. We'll just have to wait until draft day.
I assume you have proof the site is busted then? BTW, it is not busted for me, and never has been that I recall, even when he switched servers(except when Senchirp annouced it was down via Twitter). I don't use Bell, so maybe there is a commonality there amongst users experiencing the problem.
But, you guessed wrong bud. I have nothing to do with the admin of this site. I am just a fan of Chirp like you and so many others.
But, I am tired of Hockey related posts like this one getting hijacked by computer issues. If you experience problems, why don't you do the honourable thing and send Chirp an email with details on what your experience is.
I merely offered you, or others, a way to find out what's happening between server and client and more importantly a way for Chirp's admin to look into the problem by sending him/her the trace from using those tools. But, you got all offended.
Sorry Dude. If you don't want to help be a part of the solution, then don't complain, as you are not making things better by threatening to leave, or blaming Chirp's admin. He likely, at this point, doesn't know either why or even what is happening for some of the user population, but not others.
But, if you offer to help provide them info, maybe this thing can be solved and we can all move on.
KJ
if that is the case when hockey season comes around it will be a huge problem.
now is a perfect time to get it resolved.
did you see the bit when chirp said this
I'd like to encourage everyone that is having issues to explain them in the comment section. Going to ask that the host read through all the issues to see if there is a way we can get things back on track.

- if Gonchar gets traded this yr, he can be replaced by either Wiercioch or Murray trades for another young right shot defenceman.
Anderson - Lehner
Oops I put a thumbs up to this by accident.
I'm anxious to see what moedozer has to say about having silvferberg in that first trade :0
I read somewhere yesterday that Koekkoek is pronounced Kew-kewk

This is his first OHL goal, and the commentator seems to pronounce it like Cook-Cook or Kew-Kewk as you said..
@ AFM,
You are exactly correct, that it would not make sense in trading Michalek in a deal for Nash. And if Alfie retires, it makes it even more demanding to replace him on 2nd line.
I stil maintain that Sens should not give more than 3 players to obtain Nash!! Leafs gave 3 1st round picks for Kessel, whom I would compare to Nash !
I'm with you on this one. Although it would be nice to add Nash, the asking price is just too high. Patience is key when building a contending team. Look at LA for example. They built through the draft for years and Lombardi was very patient. It wasn't until this past year that they decided to move some young assets for more established players.
I hope Murray stays patient. At the end of the day this is still a rebuild. Try to bring in top talent through free agency, and if we can't lure any big names to Ottawa then stay the course and hold on to our picks and prospects for a couple more seasons. There's no rush to contend right away.
But if we moved Michalek+ for Nash then Murray has many more options to "backfill" for MM9. I agree that it doesn't help our top 6 numbers-wise, but Nash is > MM9 (as much as I like Michalek).
But I do agree that the price for Nash is likely to be too high. Hopefully Murray is working on it of course as you never know, but I am confident he won't overpay.
I also think its pretty funny when people insist that Ryan would be more productive in Ottawa on a line with Spezza, as if they don't realize that Ryan has been playing with Getzlaf and Perry most of his career.
Not sure who posted the Nash/bog trade but holy crap no.
Worst suggestions I have literally ever seen on here.

Still, you should send him an email with your details. That way, we can keep hockey talk, hockey talk. Not saying your issue isn't important, and I believe it is, since you come here regularily. :)
