The comment section has been fairly consistent since the season wrapped up but we are always looking for new voices and new opinions to join the fray. So for one day anyway, I was hoping some of those so called lurkers could join in the conversation.
What do you like about the site? What would you like to see more of? What features would you add heading into next season?
If you haven't had a chance, I also suggest registering for an account here on the site. It makes posting a lot easier and you will also have access to the forums which are currently only available to registered users. We are also looking at some other possible perks for SensChirp members.
Currently sitting at 985. Would be great if we could hit 1000 registered users by the end of the day. Click here to sign up for a SensChirp account.
You can also follow SensChirp on Twitter by clicking here, or stop by the SensChirp Facebook page. I'm hoping the next SensChirp contest will integrate all the different avenues available.
- On a side note, a few of you have asked and I can say that my goal is to have the new contest ready to go at the start of August. I was going to try to get it out this week but I figure there is no need to rush. August is going to be a long and quiet time for Sens fans so it will be nice to have something to help pass the time. I was thinking another Duck Hunt would be good but I'd like to change things up a little. Still working out the details.
- New Sens head coach Paul MacLean did an interview with That's Hockey last night and was on the Team 1200 this morning. When asked which players he was most excited about, MacLean mentioned Spezza, Filatov and Zibanejad. Interesting to see Zibanejad in the mix with those other two.
- Remember to send in your audition to be the new SensChirp contributor by tomorrow evening. I will review the submissions over the weekend and then feature some on the site for reader feedback.
I will submit my audition to be a contributor by tomorrow.
Best,
NT
Looking forward to it! Some pretty impressive auditions have been sent in so far.
I've posted before (back on the old site design) as well but not very often.
I've been following since the Snet forums days and still remember that thread you started asking how to start a blog. Anyways its great to see that it's become so successful.
I was also there at the draft party but couldn't figure out who you were.
Keep up the good work!
-C3
Yes! Welcome aboard.
Missed out on the draft party actually! I would love to see that thread where I asked how to start a blog haha. That's awesome.
Other than a few hiccups lately, the site has been great SC!
By any chance, will the contest be able to involve out of towners?
Keep doing a great job Chirp
Hmm I hadn't planned it that way. Maybe I can add an element that would make it so people outside the city could participate as well. Let me see what I can come up with.
"...don't have many informed opinions although I have noticed that that there is no real requirement to be informed LOL....."
Classic.
My 2 cents on the contest. How about making it so out of city people can have a chance at winning also. I'm to far to travel to look for ducks, but would definately head there for a game.
I was at the first game and i've supported them ever since. Good to hear from both new and old fans on your site.
I was born and raised in Ottawa but haven't lived there for 13 yrs. I've been in the GTA in the presence of Laff Nation for the past 8 yrs but I do make it to Ottawa quite often.
I have been following the Sens since they first came into the league (had seasons tickets until '98). I enjoy your site for many reasons i.e. team rumours and overall sens chatter etc...but what I really like is the way you write Chirp. You come across as a knowledgeable and passionate fan who is able to engage people in healthy discussions/deb ates (see post on Lehner) and your posts are always fresh even if there is nothing big to write about. I'm a busy guy at work but always have time to check SensChirp 15 times a day!
For adding to the site? Perhaps a code of conduct with strict enforcement? I realize it's hard to control but there have been instances when a good post has been derailed by a few people who seem more intersted in calling people out for sharing their opinion or not using proper grammer etc...
Go Sens!
I think you run a great site, the only thing here that really slows down my posting is the combativeness of some of the posters on this thread... I wonder if the thumbs-up thumbs-down feature has contributed to it in some way, because I've noticed a mild change for the worse since the switch to the current format...
In any event, just wanted to give you the ol' thumbs up, and say GO SENS GO! I'll hopefully be watching my first ever Sens game live when they finally come to visit Winnipeg this fall :)
I bounce between Ottawa and Dalhousie, New Brunswick... Usually I'm in New Brunswick during the summer, but this year I've stayed in Ottawa.. Looking forward to attending more games than I usually do this year as I bought one of those 20/20 season packs they introduced this year...
I've posted here a few times, so I'm probably a little more than a lurker! LOL
I wish I could chip into the conversations more but being a student on the east coast, where you're hard pressed to find a sens game unless their playing the leafs or habs, i don't have the same amount of in depth knowledge as some of the posters.
Up to 991!
Born and raised in Ottawa also..(Constanc e Bay really). Been in London, on for 13+ yrs. Miss Ottawa everyday and get back as much as I can.
Usually get there for 2 - 3 games a years...
Don't worry! Better to be uninformed than misinformed!
But when I do, it's because Chirp wants me to.
A nice feature would be a google+ stream equivalent of the facebook stream. Sorry if someone has already requested this.
Thanks! There is actually a video tab on the home page where I try to post highlights after the game. Will be trying to keep that up to date next season.
I've wanted to post more, so thanks Chirp for the kick in the pants that I needed. So excited for the season, I hope people are ready for the onslaught of wit and insight that I threaten to bring here every once in a blue moon.
I follow the site consistently and it's one of my main sources for local, sens related news and updates.
Always love reading the posts - keep up the excellent work!
I feel your pain brother. It's a battle but I find the Leaf fans I work with have finally at least admitted how shitty their team is. No more "Leafs are going to win the Cup" talk! Thank God!
Did it ever! Was not expecting this much of a response. More lurkers out there than I realized.
Cheers to you Chirp and keep up the great work!!!
Posted a couple of times but not as often as I should. To me your site has been my morning newspaper..Can' t start the day without browsing through the comments..My favorite contributor has got to be tookie..yeah yeah he is mr. pessimist but at least he is a realistic one. Plus he gets everyone all riled up...good entertainment value..
Now for those of you who think i might be another tookie in the making..worry not. I do have semi high hopes for our boys this year, tookie just helps me down from the clouds.
I wonder how easy it would be to register a domain name and have a "register" tab on it...1st person to find the domain (via a series of hints) and "register" wins. I can't imagine that "answer-SChuntO TT.biz" would ever be taken?
Of course, you could take the sleazy route used in the 90's of forcing people to visit tons of sites, taking specific words from pages to find a particular FTP server password...But, you are much better than that :)
Anyways, that's off the top of my head and may be a starting point?
You called ?! eheheh! It seems like I registered a few months back but didn't recall! I've been following you for a few years now! This site is my #1 Sens site!
I like this site since it is current, often updated and with good people (not that many homers)! I would like to see/add : more prospect info - maybe a section with a page for each players in the system that people could feed to keep us updated. A section for review of games and impression of players (junior and others - that people went to, which include sens' prospect and future draftees) More contributors (similar to the Yost trial eheh). Trying to get a regular Bingo blogger and have a section for the Baby Sens. Since we are now the Swedish Senators! Maybe a European contributor that could keep us informed. Past and future draft reviews. Live chats. Other special events as the Bingo finals trip. We should try to make people use the forum more. More video/multimedi a.
to be continued
Is there no televised summer hockey league?!?! :)
they seek him there
those Frenchies seek him everywhere
be he in Heaven
or be he in Hell
damn that elusive Pimpernel
Other contest (i.e. duck hunt, photoshop ideas as new jersey design - or you supply a picture that we can have fun and joke around with). Some more interaction with the readers (fantasy league, pools, etc...). We could try to pull some string and have a interview with a prospect every month. Seek a Habs or Leafs writer THAT IS NOT BIAS every now and then to back an honest outside view. League farm team system reviews. A daily link review of everything Sens (and interested hockey related) from other sites. Etc.... I'll try to post more when I'll have a chance!
Anyhow, love this site! Keep it up! I know it's a slow period but I still need my fix
p.s. If you ever need help for anything don't hesitate!! I am a webmaster and manage a few forums here and there. Some photoshop, flash etc experience so would be glad to contribute to this site! Also, if you ever need some French articlew or reviews, n'hésites pas!
Cheers
Big S
Check the site twice a day and have made it my one stop Sens location for my news and updates.
I will say between you and a handful of helpful posters, you guys have the information before anyone else. The guys who comment updates before Chirp has a chance a big thanks to you guys makin the site great as well.
The banter back and forth is great gets a little redundant at times but people like "Tookie the laughs fan" really bring up good arguements and keep the site active.
Mainly came out with the post for the "Callin all Lurkers" and wanted to thank everyone for their time here!
Back to the bushs!!
ROCKA
This is my 1st post ever! I am visiting your site practically everyday since 2 years but I never had the courage to subscribe. In fact I am french, coming from Hull, and I am only 16 (sorry for my bad english :S ). But now I will try to come and post more often on the site, giving you one point of view from the other side of the river ;)
Thank you for your superb site SC,
Étienne
I agree that standings wise we should be in similar situations. Our D is better than Dallas, and our top 6 is weaker than theirs was with Richards, Morrow, Ribeiro, Benn, Neal & Eriksson. I think we are in a better position then they are now overall though, for the long term. And now Joe went crazy spending money on overrated veterans.
The top 3 defensemen in the league last season for Even Strength Takeaways....was:
1. Dustin Byfuglien (74 takeaways)
2. Shea Weber (50 takeaways)
3. Erik Karlsson (46 takeaways)
Maybe its because I haven't seen the Sens play hockey in over 3 1/2 months, but I can't seem to remember this being a strength in Karlsson's game. Figured that would be something you'd notice alot from a player...their takeaway ability.
Huh....Sneaky little swede he is. Game on kid!
Haha.. I bet it was from those mad dashes back when he'd rush up ice... I can't remember how many times i'd yell at the TV when Karlsson would rush up ice and lose the puck, and then all in the same breathe i'd be praising him for getting all the way back and getting the puck back...
Nice job in finding that stat! Hopefully all those Karlsson doubters now get the point that he's small, but still skillful defensively with his stick and footwork.
now you have an idea john E, either punched in the face or baseball bat to the junk lol
Exited for the new season and after listening to Coach this morning on the team1200 I look forward to seeing a hard working and well structured team. I like how he didn't want to comment on last years structure and only commented on what he see's in individual players and how he can use them in different roles.
Hello Sensville!
This is my first post on the site, but I've been lurking it multiple times daily for at least a year now. I actually work at SBP during the Sens games so i get to catch alot of the action first hand, but I've been in new zealand for the past 6 months, and this website really helped with keeping me posted on all the latest news, game.
I Love this site and will be post more often.
Go Sens.
Thanks to SC and all the posters for some great comments and insight.
You don't know me but I certainly know some of you by now lol!
Your site is where i start my day - its nice that you mainly stick to fact or common sense and don't make stuff up for hits like Shitland or just talk out of your ass with no hockey sense like ShitSensay.
Still find the new site design hard to read on a blackberry torch, but since i am probably only one of the few suckers who bought this paperweight sub-par-phone I wouldn't suggest you invest to make it work on it.
Oh and SlickRick, stop teasing the homeless people downtown with Sens tickets, its not nice
Look forward to reading some new outlooks/opinio ns
Just don't post often, but your site is great Chirp!
Keep it up!
Hi Etienne!
I think that your post is proof that some people who shall remain nameless need to keep in mind when throwing insults around.
There are MANY sens fans out there that are young, AND there are many francos that are sens fans as well.
I will always keep this in mind before going after someone...excep t Tookie :)
PS: Just kidding Tookie, your viewpoint may be annoying as heck at times, but you are a solid contributor around here...
Great job SC!
Having a lurking withdrawal.. gotta go
Go SENS!
but when I do, I read Senschirp,
Keep reading my friends!!!
I am both a Lurker, and an opiniated poster, with plenty of ideas, some good, some maybe not so good
Excellent job Chirp.
This is the first site I go to, to get caught up on my Sens News, and to read up on what my fellow SensFan teammates are discussing...da re I say even Tookie!...ouch that hurt!
Keep up the great work, and I too don't mind the bantering as long as it does not get personal
And Sens Make the Playoffs next year!
Would any of the below make sensible additions?
- BSENS
- Franco Forum
- 67's
- Olympiques
- CJHL
- OHL
- The "Q"
- Wild West
- SensChirp EA NHL11 league
$0.02
I live in Toronto and this site gives me the sens banter that i miss out on living here.
I think The Black Terror or Jabs are the strongest posters for both content and consistency; i hope they are planning on submitting an article to you.
I think tookie mostly just gets a kick out of ruffling feathers and because of that he would also make a good contributer - you two could be like ron maclean and don cherry. You could be the relevant clear headed voice of reason and tookie could be the wild, off color, opinionated SOB that fires up controversy haha
Keep up the great work Chirp - i liked the stream idea posted above as well. Anyway you could just join Google+ and have your articles posted to google+ stream if so, link up your profile man.
Cheers
Keep doing what you are doing.
Great work Chirp, great work.
Chirp could create the SensChirp version one of those banners where you get to "shoot the duck" or whatever - make one where you get to punch Heatley and I bet half the visitors click it.
Keep up the great work.
That's what she said....
(sorry...couldn't resist)
Welcome aboard.... Opinions are never right or wrong.. they are just opinions..
Okay with that one.
Hope so too. If today is any indication, there is a huge number of people that have yet to join the discussion. Really hope the new faces continue to contribute!
Looking at some server upgrades that will address any issue there. Have been running a little slow for the past couple weeks after the server crash but we are getting back on track.
I'll settle for mid-Sept and training camp... 8 wks away (sounds better than 2 mos).
Big time Lurker, basically since you started I have been showing up daily and trying to stay up to date with the latest news and rumours. I admire this site because you always are on top of what's going on in the sens nation and even though I am (and I am sure there are hundreds more) a die hard fan, I like how you give a good level headed opinion on all things sens. You are no too optimistic or pessimistic with your postings. I never really posted before because never felt the need to. I was always happy just reading. Maybe this will open the door for me to add my hockey sense which is completely minimal.
Thanks running a great site Chirp!
Love the site and passion for the game you have but I don't usually have time to read all the comments. I figure posting my own opinions is kind of pointless if I am not going to get involved in a conversation about them.
Anyhow... keep up the good work. Maybe I'll post more often too!
Go Sens Go.
In 2008-2009 season, he put together 40points in 71 games (0.56 ppg), 65% of the points (26 points) came from the powerplay. He lead our team in average power play time on ice at 4:30 ( with the pizza line all arround 4:10).
following season he had 28points in 53games (0.53 ppg), 40% of points came from PP (11points). his PP time on ice was decreased by a minute, so was our top lines time.
interseting enough that season a player named karlsson joined the team. he had roughly same PP time on ice as kuba. that year karlsson had 26points in 60games (0.43ppg) and 10/26 points came on the PP.
following season. we added gonchar. gonchar (20/27 points on PP) and karlsson (21/45 points on PP) also gonchar and karlsson had roughly 3:50 PP time on ice each. leaving kuba with 7/16 points on PP and 2:07 PP time on ice.
this year expect kuba to have another slow year and probably one of the worst seasons of his career if not the worst, mainly because players like gonchar, karlsson, rundblad will lead our PP. that leaves him a slot there possibly on the second unit but anyone can take that spot, i honestly would put lee in that spot over kuba.
Dalhousie eh, not much there... I know, I was born in NB too. Made the move to Ottawa 10 years ago. I get back now and again, but Ottawa just has so much more to offer, Including Sens games!!
Yeah but there not me, which is secretly who the people of SC really want!!
I might put in a app tonight or tomorrow!
Your website better be rdy for the hits im gonna bring!! We've already seen the topics explode to 300+ hits! LOL
This is nice. They're basically drowning out Tookie's comments
Send them all to the Introduce Yourself thread in the forum, Chirp!
I'm curious how many other Winnipeg Senators fans there are.
We can all hug each other at Jets games (or outside of Jets games, more likely)
Really encouraged by all the new additions today!!
http://senschirp.ca/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=2&id=101&Itemid=56
As for Tookie I have had a few disagreements over time but also respect the fact that he knows his stuff. Chirp if you could add two more contributors to the site with one being Tookie and the other bringing a different dimension to you and Tookie that would be the best.
-Genesis, Abacab, Dodo/Lurker 1982.
showing my age...
THAT'S A HOCKEY TEAM?
Great site Chirp. Always enjoy the comments and insight.
It is too bad we never had the chance to have a pint before I had to move from OTT.
Our mutual Wiser's friend was trying to set it up.
Keep up the great work!!
Haven't posted in quite a while however I still have SC up on my quick-tab and I check it every day...
I settled with Lehnerfied because I know that in a few year he WILL reach god status in Ottawa... I have posted under the names "K" and "DanyCanSukIt" (I was a just a little angry about the heater trade)
The best part of this website (other than the insider info that you seem to get before anyone else) is the fact that we're all die-hard sens fans having great conversations about the greatest game ever.. (for the most part)...
The one suggestion that I think would be great the throw on the main page would be a scoreboard (somewhat similar to the RSU main page)
Thanks for always keeping us in the loop
I always keep up with the goings around here but only post when the topics are interesting. Long time Sens fan since I used to live in Kanata. Appreciate all the news Chirp.
Proof of my love for the Sens:
http://www.behance.net/gallery/Ottawa-Senators-NHL-App/1809917
I submitted a proposal to the Sens management awhile back to make an iPad app (as I'm a designer/develo per) but never heard back. I've done a few other Sens-related things such as wallpapers, large posters, and t shirts too!
Thanks for all the updates Chirp!

I surely hope the Sens can find a way to unload 2 D to make room for Rundblad & Cowen. This is a freakin' re-build so let the young guys play and learn in the NHL. I think both are ready.
Question is... how can Murray unload 2 D -- and who would it be?
Love the info and the insight, and I did win tickets to a Lightning game in January, so you've certainly got yourself a loyal reader here, Chirp. Keep up the good work!
He's not the only one from the Quebec side. I am as well. I've been following this site from the beginning and I've seen all the insults. I've held back from getting involved in any arguments. We're not all Habs fans. Many of us do cheer for the Sens and follow this site.
Was very impressed by the calibre and number of lurkers. Was kids saddened to see people giving the thumbs down to the guy who suggested a little more French. Next to Montréal, Ottawa is the next most bilingual city. It would make sense in terms of potential audience alone.
I personally don't care too much, just sad to see people disliking the suggestion (you ARE looking for another contributor, aren't you?)
The problem with more french is that not everyone knows french. And everyone who knows french knows english.
But when I do it's because 'chirp called me out
The site's awesome, no complaints at all. Looking forward to the new contributor.
Would Edmonton be considered "outside the city" haha.
Hoping the future is as bright as it looks for my two teams. Been a rough few years as a sens/oiler fan but I am predicting the 2014 SCF will be between these two teams.
Also hope filatov works as good as he did for the sens as he did on NHL 11. 33 goals alongside spezza would really help this team out.
Multiple shotgun killer 2. Murderer of a convenience store clerk 3. Murderer of a husband, wife and daughter who ran a motel 4. co-Wrote booklets, not books, that amount to less than a single highschool essay 5. Never apologized for the murders 6. Never admitted to the murders - that might hurt his capital habeas case 7. Coward who uses peace as a cover for fear of the lethal injection
I've followed Senschirp for years - first time posting. So now that I'm here where can I purchase my Senschirp tee shirt or flag to wave at the game?
Keep up the good work - really like the site!
I've posted a few times here Chirp... and also quite some time ago emailed you an article by Ian Mendez which you went on to post on your main blog (at that time... think last summer?).
Anyways, I do read the forum from time to time... especially during big occasions like July 1st or draft day... but otherwise, there's just so much argument going on its just very hard to keep a track of!
Although Chirp, and to other readers - I do suggest checking out the unofficial sens fan page on facebook. Its a much smaller community (about 20 regular posters maybe) and we have good discussions there. Best part is, there aren't way too many posts you lose track of! Plus advantage of it being facebook - mobile updates!
have read this site for a long time.... first time commenting.
keep up the good work.
cheers
Long time lurker and occasional poster. I've been in Calgary for 10 years and miss going to the "Palladium" to see the Sens, I know it's the old name. I still remember going to our first ever game at the Civic Center. Really enjoy the banter on here, except for SF19! His posts are like a horrific ice cream headache. You can see me on tv sitting right behind Kipper's net when the Sens come to town. It's pretty easy to spot the fellow Sens fans in the sea of red here in Cowtown.
I know this may be somewhat off topic. Although at this time of the year anything hockey related is good...
Here's a link to the Ottawa sun. The city of Ottawa is going to build a new ramp to the 417 to help us get out of the parking lot a little quicker..... THANK GOD!!!!

I know that Murray most likley will prusue Penner if Penner
hits the open market next summer.
So does anybody think that Penner will resign with the LA Kings before next summer and what team do you guys think Penner will choose the Leafs or the Senators and how much do you guys think penner will command on the open market?
I think that Penner would choose the Senators over the Leafs the Senators and the Leafs have a bidding war next summer.
Thats not really true... I know a lot of young guys from my school and other quebec schools who are not really good at understanding/s peaking english, so the fact that this site is only english is keeping them out from the site. I would not really want an independent french writer because SC system is working well and he is really good, but maybe translations would be appreciate. Still, I know we are a minority here in the sens community, and if it is to complicate to have french on the site let's just keep it that way, it's working well !
Such arrogance and ignorance is tiring to read and whilst often a times I skip those posters and their posts, it seems like others are dragged in to the pointless arguement making the whole forum a bunch of nonsense.
So with that said... I'm back to lurking!
YEP !
Longtime lurker. I used to read your stuff back in your "Jose Cuervo" days and transferred over as soon as you started the Sens Chirp blog. Great site! A ton of interesting comments and varying opinions from everyone who posts. I've watched every Sens game since the final game of the Caps series in 98. Hope to provide some of my insight now and again!
Also, while I agree with MLau's comment, I don't think people should be discouraged from posting because of a few pessimists. While some of their pessimism is warranted (especially after last year's disaster), they tend to take it too far and are simply looking to stir the pot.
That said, I feel compelled to offer some critical observation. I can't imagine the energy and creativity required to do what you do on a daily basis, so I truly applaud you SC, but I also find that the posts have become flatter, with less analysis than in the past, and with far fewer topics that aren't from immediate events. Of course, this is compensated to some degree by the comments, which explore the gaps, but which also rarely attain your balanced insight. I suppose this might be part of the impetus for the new contributor, though speaking for myself at least, it would be nice to have more in-depth SC.

I guess we need to take up a collection so Chirp can quit his job and focus on the blog full time! Newsflash, many blogs are hobbies and the comment sections are where a lot of info and opinions are shared, discussed and debated. If you need more in depth analysis of what legacy Sylvain hit him with your purse Turgeon left behind, maybe you should subscribe to The Hockey News.
Honestly, this type of attack should earn you a penalty, where you feel shame for a few days.
We Are All Fans
Anyone ever take the bus from Barrhaven to SBP? Even from Fallowfield? How long does it take? I looked it up on OC transpo...says 1:45 to get to SBP from Fallowfield. Do buses not stop right near gate 2? They really drop you off a 20 minute walk away in the dead of winter?
On the D, we already missed on retaining D.Smith and now we are overly optimistic on our potential and current defensive unit.
Time will tell.
I laughed so I registered. Looking forward to this upcoming year.
1057!
It's across the street from the Valet parking that they drop you off... 5 minute walk at the very most...
X2
If you are talking about Sens games specifically, you might want to check out the 400 series buses. They are pretty direct. I believe one goes through Barrhaven. Only run for Sens games (possibly a few other SBP events).
Chrip, I would wear your swag. You gotta open up a tab called "Chrip Store".
Haha don't tempt me.
I'll also give SC my favourite Sens moment: Being 14 years old, crossing the steet on Metcalfe downtown and almost being run over by Alfie and Bibi's pumpkin coloured Volvo. I was so excited I just stared into the car and had the biggest smile on my face. :) Thanks for the site Chirp, glad you encouraged me to finally sign up!
All the best, TGIF!
Thanks Sandy! An interesting read indeed!! I think we are starting to see why the Murrays made that deal last year! I'm sure, like myself, many people went WHATTTT!! WHOOO??? when they announced that deal! But I like it more and more everyday! Sure he still needs to prove himself in the N/A system, but it's hard not to get excited about that kid!!
I am one of those who believes that Ottawa's staff is amongst the best scouts in the league, especially in Sweden and some European countries.
We could actually dress a full line up of our Swedish Senators!!!
Don't hesitate to post other good "articles" like that! It's always appreciated!
I designed it for you! What do you think?? hahaha
http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/1152/unledrgh.jpg
Yeah, it doesn't take 1:45. Search the 400 buses. They have a separate section on the OC Transpo website. Sometimes the OC travel planner stinks.
Chrip, I would wear your swag. You gotta open up a tab called "Chrip Store".
Haha don't tempt me.
Not a bad idea, but it should be called "Chirp Store", just saying!! lol
http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/1152/unledrgh.jpg
I love the wife beater idea, classic.
Do they run often before and after a game, or is it a case of you have to leave with 5 minutes left in the game to make sure you get on the only bus? If they ran continuously for 30 mins after a game and then every 15 minutes up to say 2 hours after the game I don't see why not just park at Bayshore and get dropped off at the gate?
I love the wife beater idea, classic.
You know how the Red Scarf Union is loud, proud and scarfed over in 319? I'll try to convert my section in 321 to all wear Sens Chrip wife beaters.
Love the quick and accurate info! So pumped to see the boys back on the ice!
They run quite frequently. It's not a big rush. I got the parking passes with the season tickets this year, but another good idea is to go and buy a bus ticket for 2 bucks from Local Heroes or East Side Marios, etc. and leave your car parked in the restaurant lots. They are fast on the way back and beat traffic. Especially ESM in Kanata. They leave like 15 mins after game ends and has you back at the restaurant 10 mins after that.
What I like most about the comment section is this: I feel like I'm always part of a well-informed discussion about Sens news. I don't have a circle of buddies to discuss these things with, so the Senschirp comment section is my virtual alternative!
Thanks Senschirp, and the regular commenters for keeping me up-to-date, in the loop, and engaged in all things Sens.
I haven't taken the Bus from Barrhaven but my friend used to. Barrhaven-Fallo wfield-Baseline Stn -- then I think Bayshore-SBP -- it's a round about trip which did take her over an hour. We drive now... 20 min much faster. If I get to SBP early enough... I park in my big secret spot.. takes less than a minute to get out (most nights) and NO I'm not going to share the spot.. but it is paid parking.
may i suggest an improvement? is there any chance we could just eradicate the phrases "a guy like", "moving forward", and "high on"? no offense but these have to be the three most over used phrases in sports journalism.
cheers! and thanks for the bottle of water at bluesfest the other day haha
