As expected, the Sens have announced a handful of call ups ahead of tonight's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. According to NHL.com, Patrick Wiercioch and Andre Benoit have been called up to replace the injured defence while Roman Wick has been recalled to replace an injured forward.

Full game day post coming in a little bit.

It looks like Wick has played much better in the 2nd half of the season than the 1st. I wonder if he'll figure into Ottawa's line-up next year. Chirp, have you heard anything about how they feel about Wick?
Also, is there any significance abour Petterson (sp?) being in town?

@ Boom

Its been said before, he is rehabbing an injury and the medical staff want to make sure he's doing it right and get a closer look at him. Nothing more.

Coch and Benoit will have their hands full vs the Flyers, they will probably fold like a cheap suit but here's hoping they prove me wrong!

Wick has looked decent, he hasn't had a whole lot of minutes, I think some more time in Bingo in a bigger role might be the best thing for him.

Find it hard to really say much about Wick based on his call ups. Hasn't really been given much ice time and when he has played it has been on the fourth line.

I think we knew he wouldn't look great as a grinder.

When did Svatos sustain a concussion?

What about Greening???

Svatos got a concussion in the 1st period of the Leaf game.

Cross check to the head by Rosehill -- who got a 2 min penalty.

http://twitter.com/SunGarrioch - Craig Anderson will start. Colin Greening will play final 2 games.

Why Anderson? Are we trying to move up further in the rankings?

Clouston said because Greening played 4 games in 4 nights over the weekend, they wanted to rest him. He should be here for last 2 games.

Sandy your always over-exageratin g things, its wasnt even close to a crosschek to the head, Rosehill didnt even have 2 hands on his stick. And to be honest the check was kinda weak. Rosehill's stick came up and hit Svatos across the visor, not even making contact with his face. Svatos embelished it more than it should and lets face it, this kid is the forward version of Glasscal Leclaire.

I've noticed that he is often very strong on the puck, especially around the boards, but it is difficult to gauge anything with the limited ice time he has received. Maybe if they threw him in the top 6 for a bit just to see....

I was just repeating what the media said... crosscheck to the head.. did not say he hit his face... but he did hit his head.

I have talked to Roman Wick. I have talked to him a few times on facebook when he is on. He told me the hardest part about coming to NA was that he did not know there was so much Physical play in the AHL. He said he needed time to adjust to it and tinker a few things with his game. Now when you look at Wick, he is in the corners battling, and he is throwing a few checks. He said to me though he was leaning towards re-sgining for one more season, but said he had no idea what was happening if there were even contract talks yet between Murray and his agent. So I think if he does resign next year will be the last time he will get to make the Sens lineup otherwise he might go back to Europe to play it sounds like to me. I surly hope not has every game he is getting better. Everybody should send him a message and show that we want him to stay in Ottawa and wish him good luck in the playoffs in Bingo. Here is his facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=501795556
