The Ottawa Senators continued to sturggle on the power play and last night it cost them in Calgary.
I actually thought Ottawa looked like the better team for most of the night but just couldn't find a way to get one past Kiprusoff. More than that, they couldn't find a way to get one past the Calgary defenders.
Flames blocked a ton of shots in this one and played a really strong positional game. They didn't give the Sens much and made it nearly impossible for Ottawa to get to the net. This was a game where the power play had to carry them and it didn't. The Senators went 0 for 5 with the man advantage.
Say what you will about Filip Kuba but the Senators have definitely missed him on the back end. He may not be a premier power play QB but he's the best Ottawa has and things run smoother with him back there on the power play.
Ottawa is back in action Saturday when they visit the Vancouver Canucks. I would come back with Brian Elliott if I was Cory Clouston but don't be surprised to see Pascal Leclaire get the nod on Saturday.

We need to stary pulling it together, teams behind us are starting to catch up....I can't believe how the Habs have been on fire lately....
Beat the Canucks tomorrow boys!
Go Sens Go!
i havnt been that frustrated in a while.. alfie looked tired and made some uncharacteristic giveaways.. spezza got too fancy and attempted a drop pass on every shift... kovi had a point black shot but elected to pass and a miss communication between lee and elliott led to the first goal... ottawa did play well but couldnt seen to catch a break through regin though...and out of everyone it had to be a former leaf and a former hab that scored the goals!
on another note.. im so sick of that stupid "i could be anything" song that they play for the 67s.. i dont even want to go to a 67s game because of that dumb commercial!!!
Ottawa better bring it against the nucks because their going to be pumped to be back home and ill assure that bobby lou is going to get the start.
I'm not sure how you can dominate a game like that and still lose. It would be interesting if they had a possession clock like football, we had the puck the whole game!!! Calgary D stood tall man, that was an effort. 30 blocked shots and you could clearly see it was in the minds of the shooters as they passed too much. Kudos to them on a great home game but if I'm the Sens I'm not hanging my head about that game. Was Peter Regin cursed last night or what? Fisher had two tap ins, Shannon was point blank a few times but the rebound control between Kipper and the D was outstanding. You guys need some more scoring and if you can get that you are as good as anything in the West in my opinion.
Sorry JC, but Kuba is part of the problem not the solution. With Kuba, the Sens have the worst PP in the league, without Kuba, still the worst PP in the league. His inability to shoot the puck and make good reads as the QB are why the Sens are in the position they are in. Cullen looks better at the point than Kuba does.
I would rather Karlsson get the minutes learning to be a PP QB then waste it on Kuba.
Someone needs to teach Elliott how to handle the puck. He is Arturs Irbe bad with it.
Looking forward to seeing if Leclaire can spark this team out of its current doldroms on Saturday.
Chirp:
Kuba is not the solution to the power play "that" is very backward thinking...this is the "New" Sens with the Swedish connection running the PP Points!
Note: They (#11 & #65) are not the "Problem!"
#1 Jason is not winning enough draws.
#2 Jason is sticking on the half wall too much...not getting involved around the net enough.
#3 Alexei is not shooting enough.
#4 MM is simply not a very good deflector of the puck, he stands to flush to our shooters.
#5 the PP Coach should be changed...change the look...change the luck.
#6 When it's goin' this bad, keep the puck down, on the ice even...play pin ball!
Leclaire deserves the start. Elliot looked bad last night and the goals were entirely his fault.
To see any playoff success, we need Leclaire going
The people that constantly spit acid on Kuba (Including the Dutch Treat and The Mayor from Sens Town) better find where he lives and go down their knees and beg him to join the team in Vancouver.
come back with Elliott??? Why? He gave the game winner away. Before I get hammered on here, both goalies get the same treatment. I think leclaire is the way to go. On a side note, i would take karlsson over Kuba as our top O dman now. No offence to be taken chirp. Just my opinon.

How can they go to the video replay and not call that a goal. I'm sick of Toronto making the call. They showed a side view and that stick was nowhere near the crossbar. What a bush league.
Regin - how many chances does he need to have before he pots a goal. We need Foligno back soon.
Here are the lines I suggest
Spez -Michalek-Foligno
Fisher-Alfie-Cullen
Regin-Kovy-Kelly
Winchester-Neal-Ruutu
Lets sit Shannon a little - maybe game in -game out - with Winchester.
GO SENS GO!
By the way - boy are KARLSSON and SUTTON good together!
Carks will be sitting soon. Lee too - he plays too soft.
CC is an idiot. I didnt see him make 1 adjustment on the power play. For some reason Kovy and Spezz were out there every chance and they didnt do shit. Kovy didnt even look interested in playing. I know we need them for us to be succesful, but today wasnt their game and as a coach u have to realize that.
Goes to show you how vital Kuba is to this team and why Murray re-signed him last year. Ottawa is 10-15-4 over last the two years when Kuba has been out of line-up. He has played a small part in Karlsson's development this year. The reason why Kuba has looked bad at times this year is because he has had to cover up for the mistakes whenever his partner was Lee, Carkner, Picard and Karlsson (earlier on in the season)
I hope the people who spit acid on Kuba will stop eating what the mayor of Senstown says about him.
It's hard to score when the refs take away your good goals.
Sens have nothing left in the tank this year. This is just not their year...again. I'm not sure what they are waiting for in terms of going back to their winning ways. I have no hope for the playoffs. Sorry for being negative folks but I'm really not inspired by this team at all.
Im for bringing cheechoo back up !!
Michalek-Spezza-Alfredsson
Shannon/Regin-Fisher-Kovalev
Foligno-Cullen-Cheechoo
Ruutu-Kelly-Neil
Volchy Philly
Kuba Karlsson
Campoli Sutton
Lee
Elliott /Leclaire
Carkner is to slow and if he isnt fighting he has no purpose being on the ice ...bad skater and his shoot
doesnt get off the ice ..
Lee ..has played well and has took over Carkner 7th spot
Campoli ..Him and sutton have ties from the island end are a great 5th 6th pair
Cheechoo ... I really think his heart and his timely playoff goals will help up us and he has a nose for the net .. I think Murray needs to give him one last shot ...With him Foligno and Cullen gives us 4 solid lines and playoff ready experience up and down the board ...
Nizzy
If Andrew Ladd blocked shots he would have more than a 1000
if we played the whole game like we did when we pulled our goalie , wed be a first place team no doubt
when will the organization give zack smith a shot?
when will the sens give mike broduer a shot?
Hate to say I told ya so, but....
Mike Brodeur wouldn't have made that gaff behind the net like Brian did that lead to the Mayers goal
Tough loss but when you are a team on a bit of a scoring drought then a hot goalie will make you pay with a loss. D for flames always seemed to be in the right spot. they blocked alot of shots yes but it didn't look like they were throwing their bodies in front of the puck, it was just hitting them. Very frustrating.
On another note, is Lord Alfie playing hurt. He has not been on his game the last couple of nights. He had quite a few giveaways lastnight and was not nearly as dominant on the puck the last few games as he normally is. He just seems to be struggling out there. Please let it be a minor injury and not wear and tear due to his age starting to catch up with him.
Anyone else noticing this?
How can you say we miss Kuba, before he got hurt we had the worst power play in the league and since he went out are power play has gone up to the second worse in league
P
I'd be pissed to see Elliott in nets again. Hes not playing hot like he was, and the last game LeClaire played was solid. LeClaire has earned another shot.
Engin, give it a rest. You're the only Kuba fan left in this city. Kuba has 28 points, 9 more than CHRIS PHILIPS and he sees more PP time.
Not to mention he's been constantly hurt this season and its easy to see he played up to get a new contract and is satisfied with mediocrity until its time to negotiate again.
With the current landscape of d-men on this team, he'll be shipped off at the draft.
Why does Mike Brodeaur's name keep coming up. There is no chance that they can go back to him outside of injury. He came up and played REALLY well and looked incredibly solid. BUT there is a big difference doing it game after game with consistency. Ask any goal tender in the League.
Also surprised to see how many have folded the tent of the season. While I can agree with some of the comments made regarding lack of scoring and the need to keep winning in the playoffs ANYTHING can happen.
I for one would like to see Cheechoo back.
ANDREW LADD. IN.
Guess I'm crazy but I thought Elliott played a solid game, despite that one mistake. He made some nice saves and gave us plenty of time to tie the game at 1...we just couldn't catch a break. Whoever we go with I'm behind it, as long as the goaltender doesn't lose us the game (ahem Leclaire ahem).
Cheechoo is -5 through 11 games at Bingo, just like he was a minus player up here. If he's the answer, then we're in a lot of trouble.
Whoever suggested Campoli/Sutton...are you even watching the games? You don't want the Karlsson/Sutton pairing to continue? I'm speechless.
Everyone calm down, we played well last night, Calgary lucked out at least 5 times (including the no-goal that was obviously a goal) and Kipper made some nice stops. He's good. It happens. We played well in Edmonton too...just calm down.
Anon 9:42, You suggest to put kovy centre. I dont want to sound negative so I just wont say anything about the idea. This isnt SEGA NHL95 where you throw kovalev between graves and larmer. Come on man.
What was up with the disallowed goal? I didn't stay up late to watch the game but from the replays I don't see why it wasn't a goal.
Wow the bandwagon is getting a little less full it seems. Wow, little early for that. CC promised them each a start on the road trip so if he doesn't start Leclaire on Saturday it will destroy any working relationship with PL and this will become a real mess.
If we had Andrew Ladd up front, and Mike Brodeaur in nets, we would have won that game.
We need Ladd and Brodeur.
Sens played a decent game they just didn't finish. The problem on the PP isn't the players it's the game-plan. They need to watch the Montreal PP. It's constant puck movement. The pattern is so consistent it must be intentional from MTL. Once they get set-up no player holds onto the puck for more than 2 seconds. They basically play hot potato until a shooting lane or good pass opens up. Guess what it works like magic. That PP is easily the best in the league in terms of how much they create. It's not even hard cross-seam passes either. They just keep moving the puck and eventually someone takes a wrong step and the cross-seam pass or the slap pass to the side of the goal becomes an easy one.
Meanwhile you watch Ottawa's PP and the guy with the puck will stand around for 5, 10, 15 seconds just holding onto the puck wobbling side to side slightly looking for a lane. It doesn't work! Worst of all it wastes valuable PP time! The Sens need to break that habit and change to constantly moving the puck. That's what opens up opportunities. There is literally nothing the opposition can do when you move the puck quickly. We have more people on the ice we need to let the puck do the work.
Anyone who's interested just go find any youtube video of the MTL powerplay and count inside your head. It's literally a rythmn of one, two, pass. One, two, pass. Almost like the MTL players are just counting inside there head and moving the puck to any available option. Just for the sake of keeping up the rate of movement. It works like a charm.
Nizzy,
Interseting you mention of the idea bringing Cheechoo back. Two problems with that:
1) Chances of him being claim on re-entry waivers and the club would be on the hook for half of his salary next season.
2) Not enough cap space (around 440K left in cap space for the rest of the season according capgeek.com).
Hanging
It's your negative comments about Mike Brodeiur that stop the organisation from giving him a shot.
It would surprise me to learn that you're the reason Andrew Ladd isn't here as well.
Send Neil home and bring cheech up!
The way I see it:
1) Neither of them can skate for the life of them
2) Neil cannot shoot the puck with any sort of accuracy or velocity (i.e. fisher beautiful setup to him last night), whereas cheech has a great shot if he can get it off from the slot
3) Neil fights and cheech doesnt
4) Neil take dumb penalties at the worst times
Therefore, since a lot of people recognize scoring as an issue, it only makes sense to do this. Take out toughness (which carks, ruutu, sutton, winchester bring) and replace it with someone who will go to the dirty zones and can finish.
P.s. yes I did say winchester brings toughness. I was at the game a couple months ago in lower bowl and i realized how much bigger he is in real life. HE IS MASSIVE! and I also noticed that many times when D-men try to knock him off the puck they go flying back onto their asses
guys BE kept them in the game 1 goal until 3 mins to go in the game. Come on. If you want to put the blame somewhere last night looking at the PP. Not shooting the puck enough not crashing the net enough.
BE is not the problem 3 G's in two games on the trip 1.5 a game. Come on wake up.
Hanging on:
Actually a goalie like Mike Brodeur with his style has the highest chance of success of our "3" goalies. Hes a fundamental rock unlike Elliott or Leclaire. And before people get all on me about how Elliott is so fundamnetally solid let me explain. He is a good fundamental goalie on the first shot. Does tend to get square BUT is far too often deep in the net and as soon as a rebound gets out he has no ability to move laterally while still in butterly. He sprawls and usually it ends up in a goal. He is also a horrendous puck handler, but thinks that it will be beneficial to the team for him to keep trying.
Leclaire has little fundamental style but MUCH quicker getting from point A to point B. Neither goalie is my opinion has the style to be a solid goalie night in night out.
Mike Brodeur on the other hand gets to the top of the paint, gets him self square and has excellent rebound control. When a rebound does get away from him he pushes calmly staying in the butterfly and square. He is a guy that has probably the best mentality a goalie can have "less is more" he moves very little, doesn't overplay pucks and makes saves look easy.
The team played very confidently in front of him and what could it hurt to bring him up? Its late in the season cap is a non issue, hes makes league minimum, and WHO KNOWS maybe hes a superstar just waiting for his chance. It cant hurt with the inconsistant goaltending we are getting night in night out.
Mike Brodeur: 3-0, 1.00GAA, .966SV%
The predictability of the power play and its failure to score is becoming an obvious impediment to the team as they advance toward the playoffs. The problem goes deeper than most people think. I can see advanced scouting in action when teams play Ottawa. Their penalty killing units do not fear quick, decisive passing from the Senator power play so they end up over-pressuring the Sens on the half-wall and at the points. Hell, they pressure them all the way back into their own zone. Normally this would be a gamble, but not against our clumsy power play.
A healthy power play eliminates all the sass from the opposition. They end up in a passive box and the shooting lanes magically open up. That's called respect, and the Sens' current power play groupings haven't earned it....
Calgary block all those shots is 100% Ottawa's fault. When a Sens player looks up and sees a guy in his way, and decides to shoot, it will NOT get through.. fake some shots, step to the side, and fire them!
too many times we passed when we should have shot, and vice versa.
We actually played a solid game, and I think there were lots of positives to take away it.
Elliott played solid, but he has has problems all year playing the puck. I think he is too scared of touching the puck in the trapezoid, so he bumbles it and hurries back in the net.
As for Anon 9:42 AM, I think Shannon was one of our best players last night! He is fast, agile, good puck handler. Ihope they dont sit him at all!
GO SENS GO!.. 'Nucks tomorrow night, normally the 1st game back after a long road trip is a tough one, so lets sneak one out.
The only thing more inconsistent than Ottawa's play this season is the loyalty of the fans. But hey it's Ottawa, pretty much come to expect this.
This team will be fine, and yes they do miss Kuba. Elliot was not good enough last night, Leclaire should have started anyway but I would like to see what he can do against Vancouver. My prediction, either he gets a shutout or he lets in 4 goals on 9 shots before getting pulled. There is no in between!
This little post-Olympic slump (which we all knew was bound to happen, the signs were creeping in before the Olympics and the break only made these worse) has effectively killed a chance at the division and likely home-ice, but the Sens are still poised to make some noise in the playoffs and will be a good pick to upset.
Guys, what happened last night isn't any different than what has happened in the past. Remember the names Steve SHields, Ed Belfour, Kiprusoff, CuJo, Brodeur, Cechmaneck, etc...we hear the same thing "The Senators directed 450 shots at the goalie, 390 were off the net, 30 were blocked and 30 hit the goalie..." and then we lose a 2-1 game. This team simply doesn't have enough guys that will park their asses in front of the net and do the spade work.
Outside of that, WE LACK SKILL. We have too many guys that are plumbers, grinders and not enough finishers. Someone made the point that we have one 60 point guy on forward and one 35-40 guy on defense. This is a scoring-challenged, skill-challenged team that will have to grind out every goal to even think of advancing in the playoffs.
This isn't our year. I'll gladly come back and admit otherwise IF WE WIN THE CUP or ADVANCE TO THE CONFERENCE FINALS.
Do not agree about Kuba he has never been the answer since he got here and the Sens would be much better with his 3.75 off the books and being able to get another dman or two who would be better.
He is a big man who will not hit he is too soft and sometimes looks so lost its pathetic to watch
Sens were looking pretty good out there. This game was decided on 4 plays.
- Fisher missing net on clean break
- Regin missing net on two GLORIOUS chances
- Milan's disallowed goal
They keep playing like this and things will go our way soon enough.
Go Sens Go!
Whoever is running the powerplay needs to be replaced - I've been saying it all season. We would have needed a PP quarterback with a good solid shot. Karlsson isn't quite there yet.
The passes are far too inaccurate and nobody seems able to one-time the puck into the net.
Fisher sucks, Im sick of him getting by because of his charity work, or pretty boy ways.
he isnt a 2nd line center, he doesnt show up when we need him, he shoots wide of th net,or right into the goalies chest, he crashes into our own players, he is a waste of ice time, and a waste of money
and finally, it's a waste of a playoff run
you ar blind, spezza was winning draws and setting up all night, we dont have a sniper that can finish
Yeah, in fantasy leagues and kid's stories anything can happen.
Columbus isn't going to beat Detroit in a 4 out of 7. The Islanders aren't going to displace the Capitals or Penguins (well, not THIS year on the Penguins, ha). I am keeping my expectations low on this team...if they make it past the first round I will be super happy for them, if they don't well...if you look at their playoff record it's nothing unexpected.
I will be there cheering (mildly) and be happy for them, GO SENS!
We are NOT all Canucks....GO SENS.
-From Vancouver with Senatorial Pride. Look for me at the game wearing the old peace tower jersey
The Sens have gotten away from the play that won them 11 games and 14 out of 16. Playing too fancy.. instead of straight to the net. Not sure about Alfie... it concerns me the mistakes he is making -- is he injured or trying to hard. They all have to take a step back and play simple hockey. Stop trying to press around the net.. they will get back to their winning ways
Leclaire will start, he will do enough to win the game, he will become #1 again and everyone will be happy cuz their little baby is in nets...
For anyone who calls Clouston dumb they do not know coaching everything he has done, he did to light a fire under Leclaire and that is what Ottawa has always needed a no non-sense type of coach who does not care about who he gets angry as long as it helps the team win in the end at the end of the season Leclaire should go to CC and say thanks for waking my ass up
Alfie needs to relax and save his energy for the playoffs. He's 37, he's been in the playoffs, he's had the flu... take 'er easy Alfie!
Go Sens
Anon 4:11
you are so off base with your analysis of Fisher and his game. He has always been a borderline 2nd line center. This year however he has done everything but put this team on his shoulders. He is a quality player who brings a lot more than just goals to the team. HE is a highly skilled 2way player who plays a very physical game.
He is the type of player that any team that plans on winning, be it regular season or in the playoffs, wants and needs on their roster.
Why does Andrew Ladd get more discussion in this forum than any of the Ottawa players ?
A fine question, Red Hay.
3 things I would like to see change on the Sens:
1- Kovalev. But since there's no way we are going to lose him any time soon, I would like to see Clouston control him a little better. He hasn't earned the "free ride" treatment on this team IMO and his 3 minute shifts have got to stop. I'd rather see Neil or Ruutu extend their shift than him.
2- Fu$king guts in front of the net man. How much longer will this team play like this? Attacks from the perimeter or cycle the puck on the perimeter for 30 seconds, shoot from impossible angles, miss all rebound opportunities, etc. When we do have someone in front of the opposing goalie, the shot gets blocked by the high forward. You can gloat about the number of shots on net but if they are from far and easy for the goalie to see, than its worthless. It's a waste of energy.
3- Defense capable of holding the puck in the zone. What ever happened to pinching to keep the puck in the zone?? Most of the time, the forwards are in position to support the pinch but by the time a pinch is needed, the D is already backing into our zone (seconds before being too deep and allowing nice scoring chances). The only D that has shown consistency in keeping the puck in the zone is Carkner.
Change any two of these three things and we start looking like a real team.
the better question is why does SC always allow the Andrew Ladd spam crap...
Well that was amazing.
26 of us Fernie boys and girls went down to take a big section of the shits seats out. Moments before we arrived for the game, the man we organized this big ticket event with (Eric) gave us the good news. One of the four corner box's at the top of the second level was available. We got the bump. Suddenly our $40 tickets got us into a box that Eric informed us at peak season goes for about $13,000 a night. Fernie did it up in style. Got our own 36 person Box. It was amazing.
Disappointing with the loss. But it was a good game. It looked like we were going to win all night. I noticed for the first half of the game, it looked like the plan of attack was deflecting pucks from the point shots. Thats all we were trying to do. But it only resulted in a bunch of missed tips and tons of terribly wide shots. And one extremeley gay call back. About half way threw the game we dropped that strategy and started getting shots. But not scoring on all those power plays was gross. I think we only really sucked bad on one of them though. For the most part we got alot of great chances off our PP but nothing would beat Kipper.
Its sucks. But it was a great game. Every single Flames fan at the game admitted to getting out played all night. But thats the power of Kipper.
And Karls didn't disappoint. Super entertaining to watch. He really gave me something to watch when the game was almost over. He started turning it up and going for it more. He truely is amazing.
The dome really is a shitty stadium. But with the massive Fire Balls going off and the extremely drunk crowd, it really makes it hard for a visiting team to get a win. I think they put something extra in their beers. What a time. But as much as the beers tried. Eric made this a game to never forget. Best seats I might have ever had.
+ - ISTHE MOST RIDICULOUS SCORE IN HOCKEY IDIOTS!!!!
MY FUCKING GOD YOU ARE ALL RETARDED!!!! well not all , i like chirp and the LOYAL fans but have of you hid behind annon and talk shit and all your views are complete garbage..... fisher kovy cullen , yes lets bash them.....RETARDS
Hey I just wanted to add one more thing. The second Spezza got on the ice last night for warm up he wired a shot at the glass just by the hash marks. Smashed the glass everywhere. It was awesome. I have never seen that live before. But the Glass got all over a family. Spezza was the first one over and made sure everyone was alright. 10 minutes later the kid had a used signed stick presented to him from a Senators rep. Super cool! Thought everyone should know that. Much love Spez.
Great analysis by Bejamin(Mar12,1:27 PM), re Power Play missing the boat !!
He gives as an example the Montreal PP which is very succsessful, and our Sens should
seriously do the same !
Robert Cyr
Andrew Ladd suck balls!!!!!!!
Kovalev has got to grow them!!!!!!!!!
This "I'll play when I want to" bullshit has got to stop..
Hope kuba and foligno return, fast....
It's always easy to look good when you trail for 55 minutes.
Someone please tap Spez on the shoulder and tell him to start shooting the f---ing puck again?! It worked last time!I love Spez, but when it's the predictable "pass first" mentality, it's really easy to defend.
Good job by the flamesplaying team d and forcing easy shots from the outside. Kipper could stop 200 shots like the ones we mustered.
Mat at 7:48
You absolutely nailed it! Points 2 and 3 are spot on....
Once we fix that, we start winning games!
Wake up the f*ck up Senators!
I know we have almost no prospects at forward, (despite Regin having "superstar" potential -right SC?) but I would REALLY like to see BM do what it takes to get Campbell in the draft. Enough messing around with mediocre goalies. I know we have lehner working up, but campbell could be the best to come along since fleury, and could be available. There's no harm in having 2 goalie prospects coming up.
After the 1st round of the playoffs we're REALLY going to regret giving uo all those high picks, which will prolong our mediocrity for another year.
pg
The beers at the dome do have something extra in them. It's called balls, and it's something we sens fans have to collectively grow a set of if we want to quiet down the leaf and habs fans who invade our arena and boo our captain and team. That crap does NOT fly in cowtown. Maybe one day we'll have a set.
the perimeter play is always going to dog this team you can get away with it alot of nights in the regular season but come playoffs if the teams best guys refuse to take punishment to go to the dirty areeas to get goals its going to look like the ducks pwning the sens all the time.
Please! Enough with the Kuba bashing already!
Meszaros: 66 games played, 12 pts, -17
Kuba: 52 games played, 28 pts, -4
Aside from the fact that he's no Bobby Orr, what exactly is so bad about him in comparison to what he was traded for?
Anon 11:31am you're delusional. The Leaf fans are just as loud and obnoxious at Calgary games as they are here. There's just a hell of a lot more of them that are from Ottawa. What do you expect Sens fans to do? Quiet down 30% of the arena?
It actually makes for the loudest atmosphere. Two sets of fans cheering against each other. No matter what somebody is happy, and the other teams fans will be annoyed and cheer over top of them. Leafs fans actually bring out the best and loudest nights from Sens fans. It would almost be a seriously good idea to give out 1500 free t-shits every game for the opposing team and have those people cheer for the opposition hardcore while everyone cheers against them.
annon 11:31 , absolute poetry!!! your soooo right
i agree with the whiner dude , you guys are all a bunch of whiners , and eventually your team is going to flop....then what??? i suggest you prevent it by supporting them and quit your whining...the sens have been strong over a decade and they are still in the playoff picture , and here you guys are trashing them , day in day out
i spent 10 years being trashed for being loyal to my home town -chicago , now that the tables have turned , people call me a bandwagoner , but its funny because i supported my team all those years , and to come here and see you guys rip apart your team , one that is a legit contender year after year..... its sad , and as good as your team is , none of you deserve to have the cup in that city
wake up ottawa , things could be ALOT worse
