Live Blog Tonight...

Big game for the Senators tonight as they hope to head into the holiday break on a winning note.

Pascal Leclaire gets the start for Ottawa. Chris Neil and Shean Donovan return to the line up. Should be a good one.

I'll be live blogging this one for theScore.com. Hope to see you over there...

Mmmm not the positive note we were hoping for..

Let's hope this game is a wake up call because we are dangerously close to a major slide.

Let's hope a few days off refocuses the energy.

Absolute garbage!

Good on Clouston for not sending the boys to take care of Crosby or Malkin after that hit on Alfie. this basically says "Its ok if you take runs at us".

How can Clouston not do it?!?!?1 it boggles my mind, its a 1-1 game and Adams takes a shot at your Captain and Leader and you dont even retaliate until the 3rd when its 7-1!!!

This game was lost when Alfie got injured, you could see it in players faces, except Neil and Ruutu who probably were rdy to go do the dirty job but Clouston never sent them out.

Absolute BS, this Clouston is a clown!

To Anon at 9:52 PM,

If it was the one with the swear words I think you can understand why I couldnt post it.

well chirp, all things considered, you could let everyone vent off tonight cuz we needs it big time...swear words or not.

Things need to change in O-town. We are WAY too polite and politicaly correct. I was at the game against Buffalo last Wed and found out I can't even slap the galss when sens score...pathetic and SO conservative...not surprised though...I could make this post real political but I wont because it will lead nowhere and Im just too frustrated with this team that the only thging I CAN do is stop supporting them because frankly I just dont think it is worth my effort anymore.

SM - didn't know you had a live feed to the bench and can hear everything Clouston is saying. Wow - lucky you.

Adams paid his dues and like a man I might add. Up until that time the Sens were trying to actually win the game rather than act like idiots.

Seriously, do you consider yourself a Sens fan? Or are you just a moron that likes to come here and stir up crap?

Hax,

For once, SM is actually right. You might want to write down the date and time, could be like Haley's Comet or something...

I don't really care that the game was still close. Once again our captain get's taken out by a headshot, and nothing happens. They want to take out one of our best players, they should suffer the same consequence.

@ Hax

Im sorry dude if im a little smarter than you. Its common sense man, could you not see it in players faces? They should the bench several times after the hit happened and only Ruutu and Neil were actually showing signs of life on there.

And if you think the Sens were actually going to win after not retaliating shows that you know absolutely nothing about hockey. Have you ever even played hockey, probably not considering you think its ok to not stand up for your Leader. Do you even know what that does to a hockey team to see your Captain and Leader go down to a vicious hit, it kills you, you get demoralized, and the only way to remedy that is to fight and beat them up physically.

That game was lost when Alfie left, it could and possibly would have been a game if Clouston the clown would have sent a message to the Pens the very next shift but he didnt and let his players down.

How can you not have your Leaders back?!?! Winning is not everything, especially in hockey where games are a dime a dozen, Losing this game in the fashion that we did will have a lasting effect on players since Clouston did not send a message.

I dont see this team going deep into the playoffs with the pussy attitude that we have or even making it now that Alfie is gone 2-4 weeks.

SM - Dude, it's cool if you're pissed, I was too. More about Cooke not manning up than Adams (since Michalek jumped him and Carkner fought him). Ruutu challenged him too and the Sens played very physical after the Alfie hit.

True, in the past this team has turned the other cheek too much, but that was in the Martin days. I thought they responded enough. Sure, as a fan I would have loved to see a pier six brawl out there - but that's not the smart move, especially when this team has enough trouble getting a fair shake from the refs.

So I disagree with your "pussy attitude" statement (and the "smarter than you" one for that matter). Time will tell of course, but this team has more heart than in the past - just watch.

Merry Christmas.

1 of the better players otut here tonight was Ryan Shannon.. everyone is hatting on him, hes not a 4th line player, he had chemistry with kovy and fisher, clouston should keep this line for the game against the sabres! go sens go!

If SM is so smart, why does his grammar and spelling suck so much?
