Holiday Wrap Up

Huge win last night by our Sens. Really impressed with the way the team came together with their two stars out of the line up.

Sorry about the lack of posts and updated information on here lately. Like the rest of you, I've been pretty busy with family and Christmas related stuff. Things have started to settle down though and I'm ready to get back to work!

I'll be posting a Chirp of the Week later on this afternoon...

Thanks for your patience everyone and Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone,

Let's get ready to stomp on the Cockroaches tomorrow night in our own barn...

I love when I am at the game and for the first 2 periods to hear that gay song 'Ole Ole Ole' and silence in the third period. All the dumb Hab fans leaving with 10 mins left in the game...

Go Sens Go

I just hope our AHL team can beat up on a hot Montreal squad. Last nights effort was great from the Sens. They will keep their heads above water if they can do that every night for 6 weeks.

The problem is our first 2-3 efforts without Spezza were like that. Then they completely let off the gas and started losing. Gotta hope that pattern doesn't repeat itself. This team will need to play desperate hockey every night to stay in it.

If we fall out of the race for the playoffs by 10+ points I hope we go for the lottery pick.

Is there any truth to the sens scouting the Preds hard? Some guy on a board was saying it all night last night while we were against the Sabres.

SensChirp said...

Yep I've heard that. And there have been Preds scouts in Ottawa on a couple of occasions.

@ Preds comment

That's actually really interesting. I can't imagine Shea Weber or Ryan Suter leaving Tennessee, but I can't imagine Murray wanting anyone else, either...
A move isn't necessarily what we need, but if Murray makes a good move I'd be happy.

SensChirp - you need never apologize for how much you post here.

This blog is free - easy to use and
provides precise / concise hockey information that I often can't find elsewhere.

The feedback forums are often fun because several knowledgable hockey fans regularily post in them.

Anyhow - thanks again and keep up the good work.

I hope that Santa brought you that
1947 mint consition table top hockey game that ytou were hoping for {GRIN}

i really dont care at all who or what we give up to get weber..... i doubt murray is capable tho , if this ever happened it would redeem his status 200%

The Preds also have Dan Hamhuis who could look good in a Sens jersey.

Mike Fisher is going to be moving closer to Carrie,....in Nashville. hahahaha.

The only team since 2000 to win the cup seeded lower than 2nd in their respective conference was last year: Pens were seeded fourth. The only time a team seeded lower than fourth has won the cup in the past 20 years was the Devils in a the shortened 94-95 season. So the myth of the major underdog winning the cup is just that: a myth. It does not happen.

Having said that, the Sens are a juggernaut of a team, and IMO, will come into the post-season as a top-3 seed and steam-roll everyone in their path en-route to winning the stanley cup in a never to be equaled total of 16 games. Book it.

oh and id like to give a big GO FUCK YOURSELF to the neil nay sayer yesterday saying "neils been playing like crap" even tho he had only played 1 game....HAHAHA EAT IT!!!

mike fisher isnt going anywhere!!!

If fisher leaves, we better get somebody good back in return. Fisher + shannon + pick for weber? Whatever the case, if he leaves, I want someone good!!! Brian Murray knows what he is doing of course.

Go Sens Go!

Hey folks,

Having some trouble copying and pasting the Chirp of the Week from a word document.

Anyone know what might cause that??

SC:

Try pasting into Notepad or Textpad first, then copying from there into wherever you need.

This will get rid of funny words/characters that might cause problems.

Maybe the format of the word document. .docx is the new format, try converting it to .doc maybe?

Can't really imagine anything else being an issue..

Senschirp,

Try Copying It from the word document, pasting it into like notepad or wordpad, and then copy and paste it from there. If your problem is copying, try opening the word file with notepad. Might work

Any word on dressing Karlsson again? Or why we are dressing Campoli? Baffling.

Ottawa have a lot of interest in Nashville winger Ryan Jones. He's a pretty big kid who showed a real knack for scoring goals throughout his collegiate career.

Keep an eye on this situation.

Congrats to Shannon for getting the proverbial monkey off his back and getting the 2nd star in last night's game.
