Ottawa Senators prospect Jared Cowen has made the cut and will represent Team Canada in the World Junior Tournament in Saskatchewan.
Really looking forward to watching the Senators defensive prospect in action over the holidays. For the complete 22 man roster click here

hey SC. seems like foligno is injured too. campoli practicing as a forward today.
If he dominate has a shutdown defensemen, maybe this will make the decision of resigning Volchenkov more difficult...
We don't need 2 shutsown defensement + Phillips for the next 4 years!
Any word on if our swede prospects made the cut Chirp or are they already set?
As far as I know we don't have any more prospects playing for any of the other teams correct? (ie no one on team Russia, USA, Slovakia, Finland etc.)
Too bad Weircoch couldn't make it but I am excited to be chearing Cowen on for Gold.
Yea Petersson and Silfverberg are both going to play for Sweden from what I've heard.
Golie Robin Lehner will be the third string guy apparently.
Third string for Lehner? If that's the case, Sweden's goaltending must be off the charts good, as Lehner's been awesome.
JC is listed as 6'5 226, big boy, he'll be exactly what we need on the D
Congratulations Jared Cowen!! I'm excited to see him play and at 6'5 220 I really can't wait to see him in a Senators uniform. Hope he develops into a #1 guy. Good luck team Canada!
Stephane, get a grip. Just because Cowen looks like an impressive prospect doesn't mean there's no need for Volchenkov. If we are to assume he will develop into a Chara-like player, just remember it took Chara playing 5 seasons in the NHL before he started showing his top tier status.
Not disagreeing with you at all. Keep in mind when using Chara as an example though, he was a big project.
One of Cowens strengths is his skating while being a behemoth.
