Clutch OT Win

Huge win tonight. Two goals called back in the third didn't look good for the Sens. Really looked like one of those games...

Great time for Spezza to get his first.

Chris Neil's hit on Hedman was absolutely epic.

Big two points...

More tomorrow...

Somebody check the rink on Remembrance Day and see if Hedman falls out of a hole in space and time, because Neil ploughed him into next week.

Defense is horrible...will be nice to see Volks back on the ice again!!!

Pissed I could not watch it but solid victory. What a hit by Neil!!

Awesome return for Spezz it was epic that he scored literally like 2mins b4 uber douche Mike Brophy was baggin on him on sportsnet for not scoring saying he needs to be more then just a play maker. Suck it Brophy!

Side note: for once Pierre Maguire was spot on tonight calling out Lapierre and Latendresse for running around and yapping non stop but never backin it up.

Neils hit was clean and I definitely think that the first goal should not have been called back, but we got the two points, thank god. Couldnt stand to see the sens bashers here have any kind of fuel

It's over for Cheechoo.

Did not see the game, but I am a SensTalk Board Writer as a fan ,under the name Snoopy, and watched the Habs-Bruins game, won by Habs in a shootout, and great save in shootout by Carey Price !!

Glad Spezza decided to play last nite ,and that he was in on all 3 goals, incl winner in overtime !!

Clouston will soon have his decisions on 4 lines set in stone,as well as defense pairings,
and Sens should be in top shape, to face the Pens on November 19th, which I will attend !!

If team is healthy ,the Pens will have their hands full in trying to stop the Big Red Machine !!

GO SENS GO !!!!!!

Neil. Hedman. The beauty of it...

I wept.

As a bonus, Downie was then fed a few.

Beautiful hit on Hedman from Neil. Anyone saying it's dirty are kidding themselves and should get their eyes checked. The comments I've read about that hit were so pathetic. GO NEIL! GO SENS GO!

This game was looking like it might be another heartbreaking loss where Sens outplay the other team and still somehow take the L. Big goal for Spezza. Probably his most important point to date. Glad he got it. I also liked to see the point production and chances being generated by our tops guys.

Also, other teams may hate neil, but that is why he is an integral part of our team. I hate seeing players have to leave games, but if a rookie is going to ksate behind his net with his head down, he is going to get clocked.

I am kind of getting frustrated at how good the Sens are making opposition goalies look. I don't think any other team has played more 'hot goalies' than the Sens.

BIG HIT...... sickens me that some people still had the nerves to mention 'dirty' and 'hit to head' when it came to that hit... They mentioned it after the game on TSN, but my man Mackenzie had the last word, and he said it was absolutely clean! My man...

Hedman gets rocked by the sens twice, neiler and volchie!

Dany who?

Sens got lucky...guys like Kuba, should be benched for the late penalties they took...

Konopkas comments after the game a total joke. The guy is quoted before the game that hockey players are coached to finish their checks (in reference to the Liambas hit on Fanelli)and that he didn't think it was a bad hit......and then goes on TSN and says that the Neil hit was dirty and should be looked at by the league....

Does he not realize what a knob he looks like? He knows the Neil hit was clean...so just say..."it was a clean hit"...

Idiot.

These long layoffs are always tough on the Sens. I'm getting a little worried about Snoopy...he's really got that "rusty" look. Now that the Sens play every few days (or more) until Christmas, he needs to get into his rhythm and steal some games. I don't care much about the individual stats, but I can't stand seeing either of Ottawa's goalies with a Save % under .900! Both of them are way better than that.

i wouldnt say cheech is done, we still havent played him with alfy and fish , how about trying:

michalek spezza kovy
alfy fisher cheechoo
foligno regin neil
rutuu kelly dono/winchester...

that leaves shannon out for a game wich i dont think cloustons man crush on him would allow... lol

i beleive in cheechoo , but also beleive that on the 4th line , its kind of a waste, he plays with frickin 20 ytimes as much energy as kovalev i dont care , with him on a line with fish and alfy he could park in front of the net for screens.....only downfall would be that if fisher misses, his shot would take cheeches head clean off lol

man is mike fisher ever a big can of woop ass this year , i fucking love it , keep it up mike!!!

Nice win by the Sens last night. Neil's hit on Hedman was not dirty. I would try a Spezza, Kovalev and Cheechoo line tomorrow night. Go Sens Go!!!

Shannon, Regin and Spezza were flying. Carkner had the worse game of the year for him. (I don't think he was feeling very well as he hardly hit anyone.) Lee has lost more than a step. He also got pushed out of the way at least 3 times. I was 8 rows up from the HIT and it shook the fans in our area. Hedman is one tough cookie to be able to get up.

A very exciting game. A lot of free tickets given to season ticket holders so probably paid attendance less than 14,000. Not good.

Attendance is down 11% from last year across the league!

Someone put Cheech in the press box and put Donovan back on the 4th, please.

AK had a better game but nothing outstanding, though I saw glimpses on last years shannon as the game went on.

Other positives, Fisher playing well, Alfie being Alfie, Spezz gets a deserved goal. Players 3a & 3b line players working hard.

Defence is poor and soft, Campoli still not convincing me he was worth a 1st round draft pick. Picard, Lee AHL players.

Looking forward to Saturday.
